weekly Samuelslade007 TP 52 Class of 2016 .... the beginning of the End. FINISHED

Brilliant catch-up Frank - nice to see you still with us. Excellent set of which my faves are Sign, Flora, Hidden & Lonely. There's an arty element to all of them which I like; Flora for me is to do with colour and expression and the rest stand-out for the subtlety of lighting and correspondence with their respective themes.

thanks Carl...tbh .. i kind of just laid dormant for a while, things got a bit much, but i kept on looking for the next shot.... now to bring my 365 up to date...but not right now.. :sneaky:

And, you are :)

Nice catch up, of the set Sign stands out, as does flora (but I'd prefer just her), Urban decay, you been traveling :)

Anyway, welcome back, it's been quiet without ya :naughty:

Cheers.

Thanks Mr p... I have been let out of the bat cave the odd weekend to stretch my wings... though I doubt it's been THAT quiet without me lol..

As for flora...yeah....I'd like to have gotten her on her own too ;) but I didn't quite want her to be the focal and the other flora shots I'd taken weren't quite punchy as autumnal colours of her leaves....

That's quite a catch-up.
B&W - Well, it fits the theme but doesn't have the impact of your usual photos.
Ancient - Interesting shot. I like both the odd angle of the tower and the long exposure of the clouds. It gives it quite a contrasty feel.
Urban - Where did you find that tank? It does nicely sum up urban abandonment.
Pair - Sorry, doesn't work for me as they are facing away.
Big - Great skies, very contrasty with lots of detail. The perspective works nicely.

thanks Tim..the horse is black and white. but felt wrong leaving it in colour... i'm leaving it open as a reshoot ...
Ancient is on top of a Hill in Shropshire, shot through infrared filter, one of many i took as a timelapse, so that was a long..long exposure take.
Big i'm hoping to go back to and do a timelapse as it commands such a perspective

Hi SS ...well, that is an amazing catch up :clap:I'm really pleased you're still here as I love your thread.
So many super shots, but I think the stand out ones for me are:
Sign ....it's so unusual, such a fun idea, well spotted.
Hidden ....because I love the colours and textures.
and Lonely, I found that image very thought provoking, so I googled the artist, what a fascinating story.

Good to see you back Sammy, nicely caught up (y)

thank you susie, everything got on top me but i didnt stop snapping...now i just need to get my 365 up to date ;)

Great catch-up Frank. I particularly like you long exposure shot for ancient and the OOF runners for after.

thanks Bernd, Ancient is a point i liek to visit whenever i'm passing through the area, long walk up...but the view from the top is stunning on a good day

Liquid, that looks quite a sinister photograph, Kev, the tiny droplet really adds to it.

(what is it :))

Cheers.
For Andy and anyone else..... these are netted layers of chopped and mashed apples being pressed in a vintage apple press...I'm put together a timelapse so I'll add a link when it's done..

After - One of those shots that prove that focus and exposure aren't everything. A great feel to it (even if I'm not sure why it's after'). ;)
Alien - Peas are alien to me too.
Liquid - Lovely image. The narrow DoF capturing the droplet is excellent. Once again, B&W emphasises the shot.

Cracked - Not quite sure I get the relevance of the stones, but I do like the blue filter processing.
Spooky - The use of diagonals adds dynamism to the shot. Poor Princess Leya, changed up by her hair!!!

thanks Tim......the 'cracked' is in the one stone... i've got different shot i was deciding upon..maybe post that was well..
