TP Lakes Meet 2016

@TimmyG - Loving your pics!

Some interesting foreground on the cat bells one. I did struggle there having scrambled to the top :)

But the Buttermere Sunrise stands out. Nice colours with calm water.

@lyzzi ...glad you got some monitor time :D Love the Derwent boats , lovely composition & the light on the distant hills sets it off wonderfully

@TimmyG ...that sunrise at Buttermere..... :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: simply wonderful

@Buck .......you know me too well......not though to try mono but it works really beautifully

When's the next meet .....would love to get back to the Lakes in the snowy season....I reckon snow caped mountain peaks & still waters combined with a sunrise / sunset would work a treat :D

Agreed. Would love going back to the Lakes when it snows. However wonder if we might have a hire a 4x4 [emoji32]

Really enjoying looking through these, and getting plenty of ideas around what I could've/should've done.

I think that when I see your photos Tim (and those of others) Loving the Buttermere shot - you nailed the composition there (y)

Oh and the Blea Tarn one - the hike up the hill was worth it wasn't it (still have to process mine!)

Some stunning shots!!! I really must get to Derwent water next year when i visit the lake district, your photos are very inspiring :)

I didn't know lakes created such beautiful picture until I looked at these! Some beautiful picture here

Wow, just wow. These are incredible images. Well done everyone.

Cheers for the positive comments

Why not keep an eye out in the meets section & join us on a meet ? We're a friendly enough crew :)

Cracking set of images @sjh2008 Simon...love the close up detail in the waterfall but the winner for me is is Buttermere , lovely different view & ohhh...those reflections (y)
Blea Tarn...like the mono conversion ...but it's possibly ,maybe, just slightly on the squiff ?

Agreed the Blea tarn looks slightly wonky (easily corrected) but it is my pick of the bunch. An excellent shot of the tarn from something different from the norm (y)

Great stuff Simon, I was debating whether or not the foreground in my Buttermere shot detracted rather than added to the image, and now after seeing yours I know it does :p I like your B&W take on the tarn too.

@lyzzi I love the new additions. Great long exposure on the jetty, and I love your take on the Derwent Island.

Some great photographs guys and Lyzzi, we'll have to get back there when it's showed :)

Cheers.

Haha think you mean snowed Andy.....but yes definitely :)

Some fantastic photos from you all they are truly inspirational, I might actually start to like taking landscapes ;)

@lyzzi What a way to finish, they are both fantastic
No 1 for the reflections and the lovely light on the distant hills.
But No 2 i also like for the autumnal colour in the trees.
