Love the colours in 2. Pity about the stray hair. I like the last one although both eyes would have been preferred for me.

Thanks! I did try to clone the hair on the cheek but i couldn't get it to look normal!

I have got another shot with both eyes but didn't look as good!

Nice work mate, looks like you're rocking it! The stray hair shouldn't be too tough to clone, what are you using to edit?

Bold colours work really well but I would consider a reflector to try and pull out some of the shadows on her face from the peak on her cap. I would maybe try the white side first so not to completely remove them, it may just be good enough to fill them a touch.

Keep up the good work mate.

Cheers mate!

Only using light room to edit! My cloning skills are shocking it looked alright but as I got to the darker part of the cheek started going wrong so gave up!

Funny you should say that literally got some reflectors for Christmas.. only problem was I had no one to hold it!

You have two hands don't you?

I do indeed but the reflectors the size of a satalite dish and was fairly windy so didn't bother! Hahaha

That's all part of the fun. I can remember feeling like I was parachuting when using one once. Haha.

You could get a stand for it and weight it down but it depends how much hassle you think that is.

Lr is ok for a bit of cloning but PS is better. It can be done more delicately and precisely.

Hahaha, yeah I could of... but only went for a walk down Southend and by chance come across the blue wall etc. If I had planned to go there I most likely would have brought it!

I'll try have a play with it on photoshop I don't usually use ps tbh.

As mentioned, lighting is a bit harsh for me, the shadows over the eyes take away from the boldness of the colours. Funnily enough, the last one is the best for me as the shadows aren't so hard and it is a pleasing image.

My fave the last one too
The 50 can provide some nice bokeh so Maybe try and get her away from the back drops to make the most of it
Good set, practice and patience from your darlin will become a great set next time

Thanks!!

I'm really enjoying taking these types of shots so hopefully with a bit more practice I'll start to improve with them quite a bit as I've only just started taking portrait shots!

Practice is the key, we've all been there and still am
Do a shoot, be happy, post on line, get crit and advice on how to improve, think we have it conquered...... Repeat step one :D
