Nikon D750 & D780

Not in here you won't [emoji6]

Just took me over an hour to do a usual 15 minute journey. Snow on frozen water will make it fun in the morning :D

Yes snake is pretty slippery at the moment. Snow on losehill and mam tor as I see those from my window [emoji106]
I can't believe you live where you do and you've not got any landscapes on your Flickr yet  I'd be up most mornings taking sunrises if I live out there ;)

I do have quite a few landscape on my LR yes but none taking with the Nikon most was taken with the canon days

It's always the way, we all are guilty of looking further afield than staying local. Although with Mam Tor visible from the window that's got to be one of the best places to live. I've driven a few 5hr round trips to get into the peaks, even 4am starts to get there for sunrise!

Over what time frame, 3 months? ;) :p

Nope I had those for ages honestly those days i was sticking to the system the 5d3 i bet i had that for about 2 years

I always thought the 5dmk3 was a decent beast of a camera
It is a lovely camera and tbh the files from the nikons are cleaner imo.. but the lens the L glasses were awesome But have you seen the price of canon now lol

TBH I think nikon are better now really are.. Canon seem too slow at updating their cameras..
No, Canon realise you don't need to change your camera every 2 minutes and make cameras that will last several years, and for the odd person a lifetime ;) How long did it take Nikon to replace the D300s with the D500?

Edit, just seen minnnt beat me to the D300 comparison ;)

5dIII is £2200 for body

Lol. Took Nikon an eternity to replace the D300...

But gear prices are pretty similar aren't they? Canon certainly have a more buyer friendly second hand market.
5D4 was a bit OTT on launch. That being said it will be interesting to see the launch price of the D810 replacement.

You're right canon just rehash the same crappy sensor generation after generation.

Dual pixel looks a good work in progeess, just need to up the DR a bit more.

So what you meant in your last comment was that nikon can't make a camera that lasts a lifetime and there's been no real advances in their line up because they never replaced a crop sensor camera. That must be why you use a nikon ff.

Where on earth did you get that from

Everyone harps on about DR but yet Canon have the market share don't they? A lot of top landscape yoga use Canon too.

Can't be all bad, can they?
Nope, I'd happily have a 5D4. Probably would take the 5D4 over the D750 TBH if it wasn't for the big gulf in price and I'm invested in Nikon ;)

Sure, they're not crap at all... just really commenting about the previous post regarding advances. Canon is a marketing machine, it helps they have some specialist lenses also.

Your post.
You couldn't have interpreted it further from what I was saying if you tried :p

My comment was purely aimed at Rookies comment that Canon don't update their cameras often enough. It was pulling his leg a bit as he feels he's missing out if he doesn't have the latest greatest camera ;)

I made no reference to Nikon not being able to make cameras that last. I think the D700 and D300 are testament to the fact that they do (y)

So you were just whining about the d300s not being updated then. Okay.

OMG I wasn't whining about anything
I'll repeat, I was pulling Rookies leg and pointing out it's not necessary to update a camera every two minutes. The point I made about the D300 was because he said Canon are slower to bring out updates. That's it, no more no less. No whinging or whining :p

I love my legs pulling ;)
