Hi Folks

Been thinking about doing a photography project for a while to try and keep me motivated.

since I tend to do a lot of track days, I thought id set myself on documenting Super Lap Scotland @knockhill this year. For those who don't know it, its a budget version of the time attack basically

My problem is I don't know what kind of shots id be best going for other than the usual shot on track.

wondering if anyone can kinda of point me in the right direction.

Recently added 24-70 F2.8 Sigma to my equipment, and have my 70-200 F4 for on track

Cheers

Wayne

The on-track side of things is fairly well covered already so why not look at the "behind the scenes" type shots, as everyone has good access in the paddock to all the drivers and cars. Document them being worked on before and after each session, repairs needed etc. and perhaps their reactions when they get out of their car after doing well in the final, or their disappointment if they didn't do so well?

I was thinking of that myself, and add a couple of track shots. Also thinking about just documenting one teams for the full season

My issue is I lack in experience static shoots

You don't need experience. Just take photos of them at work from a safe distance (ie don't get in their way if they are busy).

That's a fair point, spoke to one of the boys from team Lothian electrical last night and he's more than happy for me to document some of their on going work before the seasons kicks off aswell [emoji16][emoji16]

I took plenty of photos at each of the rounds. maybe see you next year?
