WCMUT....what cheered me up today

The case for the prosecution rests M'Lud :D
That was all laptop induced with it's sporadic dislike for this forum to be able to post a reply first time and a second attempt produces duplicate posts. Probably the forum hamster not running quick enough in the wheel. (y)

A little Baby born just after Christmas, on life support and very poorly, not able to breath on his own, has started to fight and is now breathing 40% for himself, It seems the machine backs off as the baby gets stronger thus giving an indication of the little ones input....Keep going lad!! Cheered me up no end.

Not our child BTW, a friend of my niece.

Hope all continues to improve for the little one (y)

A 30 min brisk walk in the winter frost & sunshine after dropping the van off for a service,
followed by a full English breakfast. :)

Very similar to the above. The walk with the dog this morning (and the last few too) - cold, frosty, ground rock hard so no wet trousers or needing to dry the dog off at home, good sunrise. Saw a couple of foxes and heard a great spotted woodpecker drumming.

I always like to walk the most direct route to the office. So I always diagonal across the gravel, while most people take the paths the long way. Like sheep.
Now we've had heavy snow here, I still go diagonally, especially as it's -10°c in the mornings. So I've forged a new path through the deep snow over the last few days. I even made my poor colleague do the same when we arrived at the same time. But now, what amused me, is that everyone else is now following my diagonal. Even the police! Yes!
Today: track.jpg
I noticed there is still a bit of a kink in the diagonal where I wasn't so straight the first time. People are following the kink, so I'll have to try to fix that.

Having a bacon baguette bought for me for breakfast by one of the Finance Managers.

I just came up with a game. Most likely it's old hat. But we played "guess the film" using emojis. It's easy with a messaging app.
You can also do songs. It's quite tricky to find the appropriate emoji sometimes.
Here are four films for example:
[emoji361][emoji225]
[emoji186][emoji165]
[emoji124][emoji106] [emoji426][emoji292]
[emoji305][emoji568] [emoji652][emoji235][emoji235]☠

Picture this,
Mum with a toddler in a push chair, at the zoo today, Oooo look at those lions! can you see them?
Kid, NO!
( they were about 20 feet away the other side of the glass)
Lion, on cue, walks over and puts its nose right on the glass, where the kid is sitting.
Me, can you see it now?

Well it made me and the mum chuckle anyway :D

The best thing for toddlers at DZP last week were the muddy puddles! Bu99er the tigers chowing down into chunks of Dartmoor pony, the roaring lion and lioness and the new cheetahs - puddles is da doggy's danglies when you're 2-3!!!

It no doubt fancied a little snake for a starter;)

New household resident arriving today.

Or even Little Jimmy?

WCMUT was what I think is my best round so far - 42 shots over the 9 holes. 24 Stableford points (I play off 28.) Most uncharacteristic for me on an early round, just need to get it consistent now. Even better was getting round before the rain set in!

Pwitty Kitty Pwease!

Here's an emergency puddy tat to tide you over.

First person to mention eating p***y wins a prize - that'll be me!!! :p

So far I only have mobile phone shots, but I'm sure that will change.
He's been here about 30 hours, and seems pretty chilled!

Now have a proper water supply to to the loo and basin in bathroom for the princely sum of ..................................................£20
There be another bit that needs doing but at the moment that seems ok but have been quoted all of £95 to fix that,
one happy bunny here :)

Really happy now, car has just sailed it's MOT not bad for a 14yo car with 155,000 miles on the clock :banana:
Who needs posh new cars :D

Audi had 201k on her last April when I sold her.
16yo.

If people didn't buy new cars, there would be no old cars. (y)
I had a Mondeo, 13yrs old when I sold it, 269k miles on the clock, still original engine, gearbox and clutch. Never failed an MOT neither.

If you look after them they can go on for ages.
Mine's been regularly serviced, l don't rely on it for work so suits me fine.
Don't do new cars, too many idiots in carparks

You just need to find the right spaces so the idiots can't or won't want to park near you. (y)

Ah, the well known Leprosy spaces :D

Ah, the well known Leprosy spaces :D
Put a notice in the car window, don't park too close my kids kick their doors open :)

Thats Ok until you come back to a nice dent in the door, and a notice saying "That's OK so do mine" :D

The spaces furthest from the shop and next to hatched area and park partly on the hatching to leave a larger space beside the car just in case someone does fancy a long walk to the shop. No-one has yet. (y)
At work I park on the end of a row, right to the end, then my mate parks next to me facing the opposite way but tight against the side of my car so he has plenty of room and the car door can be fully opened and still have plenty of room to the car in the space next to him.

I try and do this but invariably find some muppet has parked right next to me. There are tens, if not hundreds, of other empty slots. But no! They must park next to me. Close enough that there's no way they could open their car door and get out unless they were as lithe as a rake.

WCMUT?
Being reminded exactly how much fun a rear wheel drive car is in the wet when negotiating roundabouts (y)

And then fish tailing it back the other way when a van tried to sneak up the outside to go down the same single piece of single carriageway.

Happy days :)

I just contacted an old colleague, who might be able to help me change jobs and join his company. His helpful response gives me hope that I can leave the 'orrible place I currently work at. Yoo hoo!

I haven't had have a hifi for over 15 years and don't want anthing like an old style hifi system for reasons of convenience. And I never listen to records in a fixed room. I prefer the digital world with a NAS and mobile devices and my computer. However, unwittingly, today, for just a few hours I've found myself back in hifi land. I'd ordered a new big telly and decided a sound bar with bass wooftah is essential, as we watch a lot of films. The speaker system arrived today before the telly already. And it needs to be played with. Just sitting there. Annoyingly it has Bluetooth, so naturally I connected it to my phone.

So it now has Tubular Bells booming out of it. Hopefully the telly will be here soon and put an end to all this hifi in the living room nonsense. We'll stick Blade Runner on to test the new telly and speaker multimedia experience.
