I really like the sky in the first and I think it is a very nice choice to show the horizon within the window of the gunnery box rather than all sky or all ground.

With regards the others I wouldn't be against a central composition on the second and the footsteps in the sand going into the scene rather than towards camera perhaps.

At first I though I preferred the first image but the more that I looked at them I think that I prefer the second over the first.

As for the third image I agree with Craig that I think that the footsteps would have been better going away from the camera rather than towards.

no 1 sums it up fully
cheers

The shots were all taken in fairly harsh light. They were then processed in Lightroom with usual WB contrast and
The using the HSL B&W convesrion tool using the colour sliders to improve the contrast then over to photoshop for selective levels then curves adjustments as I always do with mono.

Excellent set, love dunes 1 (y)

Love two. Superb

Thanks Steve

Yep I like the second also, sky is really nice - the first one I've stood there and always felt the post on the right looks out of place and unbalances it a touch.

Thanks Stuart
I was not too comfortable with the post in shot in the viewfinder (not for the first time) but I decided to go for it. I have considered cloning it out too even when I pressed the shutter

No2 is fabulous, that sky you've caught is to die for......nice.

Thanks Much

Thanks Jak

Nice job Alf. As mentioned. The sky is pretty awesome and suites the B+W converion nicely

Thanks Rich

No2 is right on the money, Lovely shot with superb processing as usual Alf. Fantastic sky all balances nicely. I did scroll around the screen and sit the gunnery obs box centrally but it didn't have the same appeal as the original. Nice Work(y)
