DSC_6409Days of crap weather, fog,fog & more fog! Was going to try and get shots of red kites however visibility of 30 yards put paid to that. Spent a couple of hours wastingmy time in the garden - poor light, high ISO, long shutter speeds and fast flighty birds!

2 firsts for me today but didn't get any photos i was happy with, widgeon and shoveler. Moved to another location and got my best kingfisher photos so far (only my second one) It is far for ideal but the best I could do with the light conditions, also a female kestrel perched in a tree

Not that I'm much better. I put the camera in the car, and realised when I got there that there was no memory card in the camera, so I had to use the one from my dashcam.

More of a record shot than anything else, but first time I've managed a shot of a Kestrel hovering...
and a Blue Tit looking rather coy...
Also spotted my first Goldcrest last week, and whilst I did have my camera with me I only had my Canon 24-105mm f4 L with me and did take a shott, it was 8-9ft away with a fence in the way...

I connected with my 2nd flock of Waxwings (this winter) down here in Kent, back on the 17/1/17...still cant manage to capture any "clean" images yet...but who knows, i might get lucky soon enough??
