Old APS film

Hello
Our Daughter did a small on line appeal for out of date film as she likes some of the odd effects it can produce, she got a good response as she got a couple of obsolete cassettes she has been looking for but she has also been given a few APS films. She has a good assortment of cameras but nothing to use APS in so can we do anything with them?

Plenty of APS cameras out there for peanuts, charity shops, car boots (@excalibur2 ), eBay and even some of the dealers still have a few.

Problem is She mainly uses old stuff or Film SLR's, as far as I am aware APS was only used in compacts?

She likes to have more input in to taking the picture and not use automatic settings. She has a few goos 35mm SLRs and a Medium format Yashica so I can't see many good results from a compact in comparison.
From what I read the image quality is not as good as 35mm?
Hang on a mo is APS C41 process? even if it is we have no reels for it so can't process at home

Both Canon and Nikon did APS SLR's with interchangeable lenses. APS was available from the very basic point n shoot to quite well appointed high end'ishh cameras. Quite a good system for the home market but let down by the small neg size.

You can still get APS processed at the likes of SnappySnaps, and if you need it scanning I offer a very affordable service

You might get a few quid per roll for it on eBay if you don't want to get a camera for it.

A;ternatively, I'll put it to use if you don't want it - I currently have an Olympus Newpic APS clamshell camera in my coat pocket for random out-and-about shots. 35mm would be an easier format, but the camera's a freebie my dad gave me and it's very compact and pocketable, so I'll make use of it while I still have any film (I'm on the last roll of the ones I got with it).

I don't fancy buying another camera just to use it up.
Eight rolls of Kodak and two random ones so looks like its off to Ebay, it will help towards the new digital body she has her eye on.

Could be interested if you fancy splitting it, what do you think Mr @FishyFish?

Thanks I did see that on Ebay but she has to draw the line at some point, she doesn't need another camera with an obsolete film system, some one has swooped and purchased some so the rest is off to the sales section
