Beside's house insurance, can you please tell me which camera insurance company offers the best deals please?

I use policy bee and for me they are excellent, they sorted my loss claim within 2 weeks from start to end.

I use Photoguard as they have generally positive reviews online.
I have also used Eversure in the past but never had to make a claim. :)

There is a recent post about photoguard and someone who is currently making a claim. Perhaps keep your eye on that thread and see how it turns out.

I use hiscox myself, but hovered over the buy button for a photoguard policy first.

When you say 'best deals' do you mean on price or insurers actually paying out on claims? To me insurance is only worth the premium if the insurer pays out on genuine claims rather than finds a way around not paying. The fine print t&cs are important as you need to understand what is and isn't covered. I remember looking a few years back at insurance, whilst one company said they covered equipment left unattended in the boot the fine print said only cars that had a boot that could only be accessed from outside of the car (no drop down rear seats or parcel shelves). How many people have a car like that?

Thanks for your replies.

Are these very good and how is the monthly payment/

How much is photoguard per month?

How much you pay a month? House insurance doesn't cover faults etc.

I currently have it on my house insurance as it was cheaper than photography insurance at the time. Im going to be speaking to the insurers at the NEC next month to see if I cover get better cover than home insurance as I'm now topped out regarding photography equipment and it may be better to now have photography insurance.

My home insurance covers theft and accidentally damage, it wouldn't cover any faults that occur, but it's unlikely photography insurance would cover faults either. It's like car insurance, you don't expect them to pay for general car repairs unless it was caused by a RTC. If the exhaust needs replacing that's not a car insurance job.

There are online quoting from photoguard, aaduki etc. It's quite easy and quick to do. The quote will differ depending on how much you are insuring. It's worth reading through their terms and conditions to get an idea of what is and isn't covered.

Can you tell me what they said please?

I don't know about photo guard but I pay £19 a month I think, and get my gear and professional liability cover included etc.

It will be more about my personal kit needs than general questions although some about left in car may come up along with what they class as due care. I want to find out more about what eventualities they cover and if you sell any images in the future. Currently my home insurance doesn't cover selling even one image as it's domestic insurance.
