Beginner Wide Angle Lens for 1300d

Hi I'm a complete novice in the world of photography and would like some advice as to what wide angle lens is best/most suitable for a Canon1300d. I've about £400 to spend and would be using it for landscapes and the like.

Can someone point me in the right direction please?
 
Cheers for the advice, it's greatly appreciated! I went for a Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM lens. All being well it should arrive in time for this weekend...Whitby here I come.

(y) That's my choice when I shoot with a crop aps-c body you won't be disappointed :)

That's good to hear Phil, it got great reviews and was just inside my budget. I had no idea just how expensive certain lenses could be, a bit of an eye opener to say the least

Like I said you won't be disappointed with the image quality I used it on a 50D and also my Canon M. (with canon adapter)
Still have them but they have made way for my Fuji X gear in my bag now.

I'm yearning to get away to Whitby this weekend and test it out now. Fingers crossed the weather is kind and I get some good photos. Failing that, a pint, fish n chips and a lovely sea view will do :)
