Nikon D750 & D780

Should have even cheaper! If money is tight going second hand can give you a bit of extra cash for lenses. I must admit, i've not look in the classified for ages so i don't know if there's been any lately. But still a grey second hand should be cheaper that a grey brand new. That how i bought mine, grey second hand in the classified from this forum and it was really good value for a near new item from a trusted member with only a few thousand clic and 2 year warranty left.
Ahh right, sorry I assumed you meant used UK. Yes used grey is a good way to go, especially if bought from Panamoz as their warranty is transferable (y)

Currently selling up my Nikon kit to move to Fujifilm... didn't do enough 'paid' work to justify the expense which was tied up in it... and have to say the D750 is going to be tough act to follow...

Why not just sell some of it then and keep the bare essentials

Purely economic...

Although I've sold a good bit already, and randomly have the D750, 24-70mm & SB910 remaining - not a bad threesome if I did want the security of Nikon!!

What Fuji?

Think if I ever went Fuji I would want the XT-2 and thats just as much money as a D750.

What do you intend shooting? I recently bought Fuji, had it for all of about 2 months before selling it again.

How is moving over to Fuji going to save you money unless you buy a lesser body? Although good, the IQ imo isn't anywhere near as good and everything costs a bomb anyway.

I got a good deal on a used X-pro2... ideally hoping to end up with four good primes, and a second body...

Nikon gear had gone over the years to D750, D610. 24-70mm, 85mm, 35mm, 105mm and a couple of flashes... don't do the commercial work I'd initially needed a such a pro kit for...

Not a massive saving financial, but enough to justify it

I'm lost by this. Your selling/sold all your gear to end up with 2 bodies and hopefully 4 primes on fuji.

So basically you wanted a change of system

Yeah... a cheaper system too!!

My initial point has probably been somewhat lost... basically just commenting that I'll miss the D750!!

This is why I sold my Fuji gear, I couldn't cope with the rendering of landscapes, particularly rocks and foliage. Apparently it was worse than this years ago too before adobe changed their algorithms. I tried about 8 different different pieces of software trying to find one that could process Fuji well, and still wasn't happy.

Crop of some rocks with a bloke sat on them (excuse the softness, these are from photobucket and they always look soft when hosted from there)

This is how I expect rocks to render

I've had a x100 for a couple of years as a walk around alternative to my Nikon gear, so have an idea what to expect at least!

That's a fair.

I might miss the D750 too (having traded in for an X-T2 kit lunchtime).

But I made a killing on the D750 and looking forward to the Fuji colours.

I'm not worried about lenses - been using FX glass for a few years now but could never make the switch to FX properly, then when I had a chance, the prices went North so decided to get a D700 instead. Now I have the D700, I made the decision to sell all my DX kit and go fully FX. I'd like to keep the D700 too if I can so I probably will go Panamoz or HDEW. I'd forgotten about HDEW to be honest as everyone raves about Panamoz - will check them out for prices later. I think this could be my first grey.

I'm pretty sure it was my 24-70 I bought from Panamoz a while back, before they took credit cards so done a bank transfer, that was a bit scary. Now they take credit cards it's totally stress free. I,ll definitely get the d750 from them unless I trip over a bargain used one. But even then, I'm leaning towards buying new for the 3 year warranty and great return policy

Wouldn`t mind his wages though :) Not too keen on the tax bill ...

Lighting is cool, but a plain wall will help IMHO (y)
