Nikon D750 & D780

Had it for about 6 weeks or just over so well past the returns time.
Lee are arguably the best overall, although the 10 stopper does have more colour cast than others apparently. Why would you change to nisi when you already have Lee?
But surely they must have a warranty with them.

Why would he want to change? Cause it's rookies [emoji1]

Dunno tbh, will wait to see what format say. TBH their customer service has been second to none in the past.

Let just say I can. By not costing and gaining a filter too [emoji6]

Has anyone switched from the 70-200 F4 to a 70-200 f2.8?

I might have the opportunity to swap mine over to the 2.8 version (depending on the £££ involved).

Obviously its a much heavier beast, but is it worth considering?

I can't compare as I've never used the f4, but you should most definitely do it.

Because f2.8. :D

Out of interest, is the the VRII version, or the newer 'E' model?

Its the new one that came out last year - hence I'm not 100% sure if I can afford what the difference might be. I have a work bonus coming next month, but its one of the awkward conversations were a price has not been given!!

Plus not sure I can justfy the cost just yet... will see!

Maybe worth waiting to see what the new version of the Tamron brings to the table?

All other things considered equal a wider aperture will always give more subject isolation ;) I'd suggest trying the new f2.8 as they've reversed the zoom and focus ring and so it might not be for everyone.

Follow up on my filter, formatt have been in touch, asked me to send the filter back so they can check it out and will send me a replacement. Looks like they've come through again (y)

Yeah I did see that. I'm not 100% sold on the idea. I think I just want a new toy! I can try it out first to compare to the F4 version.

Took a trip to Magpie Mine. Unfortunately weather was not my friend so I'll have to go back at some point. Heavy use of radial filters to make the light look better than it was.

Same with the new Tamron too - both looks pretty similar. Guess the Tamron will be a bit cheaper though.

Looks to be the new "thing" as the new Sigmas (both the 24-70 and the 100-400) have their zoom ring at the front (iirc)

If they manage to improve on their old one the Tammy could be a real winner. I think they just need to concentrate on the bokeh and pop a bit more.

Some info guys

The dam walls at derwent are overflow madly. The plug is highly going to overflow by Saturday if weather continues

I like the 2nd one, not so cluttered, maybe although it's just my opinion, it could do with a little lift in colour/pop.

Just in time for when I'm not around

Thanks. Trust me it's been lifted a lot already lol. Not much I can do about the flat light, and I don't know photoshop enough to make artificial light ;)

Given it a further contrast boost, but don't think I can squeeze out any more pop ;)

Will see what it's like! Am also tempted by one of these massive 150-600s too!

[QUOTE="snerkler, post: 7744296,

Seem to have excessive artifacts around the stonework?
I assume you mean the halos? Dunno why they're so bad with these but will clone them out when I have time ;) The chimney seems the worst affected to me. Dunno whether long exposures cause more CA's?

Yeah I meant halos, I thought it might be due to sharpening but things dont look overly sharp, maybe you have done a selection without a bleed?

Ladybower plug hole tmr they now predict
