You don't have to wait until the month to do the photos. Any taken after 27th December are valid. The earlier you start on subsequent months the easier it is
Take a wonderful architectural shot of that beautiful wooden spiral staircase that I'm sure you have leading up from your magnificent entrance hall into the main lounge on the first floor of your mansion.Well I think Feb is going to be a difficult month because of the rotten weather...when we do get some nice days we would have to get thru' a roll of film and get it done by the 28th
Bring on the architecture challenge!
They're probably as poor as this month's feeble attempt but at least I'm trying.
Says a previous year winner...
You know what's annoying, is thinking of something to shoot for Feb and going back looking at old negs for ideas and you see one but you have to go and shoot the same shot again to comply with the rules....not complaining just saying.
Just scanned in a home-devved film and it's depressing one frame has a light leak (from starting to load the Rondinax in slightly too bright light) and 3/4 of the rest are covered in awful dust. Dried in the shower room with the door closed, too. My OH has been away for a few days, maybe there's something in this dusting lark... Added to all that, wondering what I was ON when I took them. Weird!
This is why I send everything to filmdev I dread to think how much dust and cat hair I'd find on any home devved film!
Did plan to take some shots today as it's nice and sunny...but the neighbour's conifer has crashed on part of my garden squashing a lovely small apple tree so I've got to do some clearing up and try to save the apple tree. Amazing that a conifer snapped (not uprooted) as they are tough trees and used to wind. H'mm could a horizontal tree be some sort of architecture
Pity you don't live a bit closer, I'd have offered to bring a chainsaw round, we'd soon have soon shifted it then! There's a whole section of garden wall down near where I live, mind you, it's been leaning for years. If it stays dry at lunchtime I think I'll grab a shot or two of it, might come in handy for one of the challenges on here... if we ever have the subject 'fallen over garden walls'!
Thanks...Well I have one of those kits that comes with a strimmer, chainsaw and hedge cutter and am in the middle of cutting the branches away from the apple tree...just taking a break with tea and biscuits.
Hope you are wearing the right protective clothing, chainsaws can't tell the difference between tree and leg! So be careful!
with the kit, the chain saw bit is about 4ft away Anyway it didn't take long and went out and finished the film up.....if Asda's film m\c is broken down I'll have to miss this month
I know the sort you mean, also known laughingly as 'death on a stick'! Why not mail the film off first class quickly to Film-Dev, and with a bit of luck the scans will be downloadable before midnight on the 28th? Might be worth a go?
The blue peter 'here's one I did earlier' is about the only way to get anything in on time I reckon.
Don't worry, Asha, I'm going to look for an entry tomorrow and it'll be somewhere in Reading. Virtually guaranteed to make other architectural photos look better!
Come on guys and gals, I need as much competition as possible so as to keep up my zero votes position.......I can't be seen to fail at that goal with just two entries
Well I'm open for bribery if you send me some soft French cheese
, stuck the lens on f5.6 with the "A" in the LCD display and relied on the camera,
