Just had put the cranberries no need to argue album for a spin in the cd player, what a great album! Must have been 20yrs since the last spin.

Any albums you've forgotten how good they were until recently?

Script for a Jesters Tear - Marillion. Haven't played it for years. A listen this week, took me back to the first time I placed the album on the turntable.....:)

I've never heard of it before to be honest I'll check it out.

I don't have enough years under my belt to do 20 year since last spin but listened to Incubus - SCIENCE for the first time in ages last week, remember why I was addicted to listening to that album back in my teens.

Not Fragile- Bachman Turner Overdrive

Everyone knows You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, but the album has a good few other heavy classics including the title track, Sledgehammer and Secondhand

Holy Diver-Ronnie James Dio was another I forgot about for years, some great tracks on there too

Yeah i don't think I've heard it for a long time either, I'll give it a spin.

Black Noise a 1977 prog space rock LP by synth based Canadian band FM.

I missed this when it first came out due to Punk but looking back it is a classic.

Funny you put this thread up, Robert. I'm in the slow process of tidying & de-cluttering our home atm & a few days ago found a couple of boxes of records in the garage.
I rummaged through & a few brought back memories.

I no longer have a deck, (after finding the albums & quite a few singles, I could do with getting another player though) so can't play them, but have been listening to a few online/youtube.

A nod is as good as a wink..... Faces.

I'm going to have to dig that out now. :)

Waterboys - Dream Harder
Got overshadowed on release by other records (Nirvana's In Utero for example) but it's a cracking album that hasn't aged.

Not listened to The Waterboys for a long time now. Must go and search the loft for that and some other forgotten albums.

I cannot say I have forgot any of my fairly mammoth collection, I listen to at least 3 albums a night and I only have to look at the cover and know how good(or bad) it is.. its a bit of a curse really..

I am discovering old albums for the first time though, new (as in from 2k onward) music has nothing to offer me and I have all the 80s/90s I will ever need so I have gone back to the 60s and mainly 70s to get my vinyl buying fix on.

Somewhere I have a couple of boxes of abums stashed - makes me want to go dig out my deep purple again.

Do it, my well worn copy of Machine Head is still out, never tire of listening to it especially Pictures Of Home

I had Purple Passages in mind especially - import album that I picked up when I was 17, covering the earliest period with Simper & Hughes through to a trial collab between the band and an orchestra before they did that album that Lord wrote.

I'm sure you can find some if you look hard enough :)

Blood Sugar Sex Magik - red hot chilli peppers. One of the albums of my youth and the best Chillis album! It was uphill to there and downhill from there!

The album sleeve is the reason why I'm covered in tattoos!

I quite like Slade. They did a lot more than merry Xmas everybody, I put on one of their old albums the other day and it's surprising how good they are.

Yep Slade Alive is excellent, Coz I Luv you, Everyday, Hear me Calling, Darling be Home Soon etc

I left a couple of new purchases in a clothing store while trying some jeans on. Went back later when I realised, but there was no sign of them.
