I've worked out what won't help with the Fuji metering. Most cameras I have owned AE lock when you have your finger pressed part way down on the shutter button and it's a two step. It's a definite point. The fuji seems more sensitive to pressure so I tried moving with light pressure and sometimes it locks to an exposure when you have very light pressure at all and the difference between not locking and locking is a very tiny pressure difference. Resting on the shutter button ready is often enough to make it lock. I'm hoping it is all down to operator error as it is an excellent medium format P & S :)

Being a point and shoot, the Fuji locks focus and exposure at the same time. The easy way to tell if you've locked is exposure is if the lens focuses too although you'll have to judge that by ear because the viewfinder isn't through-the-lens :0)

Plus the second shutter button on the front is where I can easily catch it too.

Well, I've just processed this roll of probably-expired Tmax 100 that I finished yesterday, and cut the strips. Interestingly the first few frames are double-exposed, slightly offset, so it wasn't me... I'm pointing the finger at you, Suz!:(:D

I'm not good at reading negatives, specially double-exposed, but there seems to be a guitar involved, plus a couple of mid-szied office buildings with reflection in water. They won't get scanned until tomorrow evening at the earliest, I'll post some up soon after. Could be amusing!
Will let you know if recognise it! only time I co-habited with anyone that owned a guitar was when I was a student in the 1990s.

OK, finally got round to scanning those negatives. There are 3 and a half shots double exposed; the latter doesn't contain anything useful. The first 2 and a half are:

1703D multi 2.jpg
1703D multi 3.jpg

The weird tree branches... that's me; can't really see anything else that I might have shot!

So, does @srichards or anyone else at the Peaks meet, or anywhere else, who might have given or sold me a film, recognise these? Those grimy industrial buildings and flats ought to be identifiable to anyone who took them. There are also some titles visible in the second image, but beyond Europe and Spain I can't make anything out!

They don't jump out at me as being mine.

I've had a couple of failed cameras that I could have taken film from. The centon I had in the 1990s and the Dynax 7 about 5 or 6 years ago but none of those look like my sort of photo. I haven't got into industrial wastelands until recently :) They could possibly be the house mate's photos but I don't recognise where they were taken.

Thanks Suz. By the way, I realised it's possible my posts might be taken as somewhat accusatory... not at all my intention, it's a bit of found film and fun to find out where from! :)

I don't think I've ever taken a part used film out of a camera, although I have both put an entirely exposed film back in the camera, and sent an un-exposed film to be devved and scanned! I'm thinking an indelible pen would be useful if I want to give this a try...

Mental Note: Don't forget to set exposure dial switch and plate to 220 when shooting 35mm in 6x7... otherwise you'll breeze past useful film at the end of the roll... just sayin.....

Still... it was done, one whole film in under 2hrs. It's been a while since I did that! Film will go for processing at the weekend and scans will follow..

Here we go, straight from WeTransfer (Thanks FilmDev) via LR for contrast & crop. Three of the nine exposures from March 15th at Winkworth Arboretum:

I particularly like number 3 with the daffodils. Nicely captured [emoji5]
