Found out about Daves passing a few days ago on Facebook, having been friends with Dave for many years it was incredible sad news to hear, and my thoughts are with Julie and all his family at this time...

Dave was and will be remembered by me as one of the kindest and friendliest of person you could ever hope to meet..

I was also fortunate enough to witness and shoot one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen while out with Dave one afternoon

Oh no awful news :( one of the first names I think of when I think of this forum. Very helpful guy, particularly helpful when he gave me some great advice when I couldn't decide what part of Kefalonia to visit!

RIP Dave.

I didn't know Dave personally, but I knew his name instantly and remember his many posts fondly. He will certainly be missed here. Condolences to the family.
 
Very sad news indeed, Dave actually introduced me to this site- he'll be sadly missed RIP Mate :(
 
it's a bit of a shock to read this, i met dave a few times over the years around Yarrow valley and Rivington he was a fantastic guy
it's very sad he has left us i always looked forward to bumping into him on my travels
condolences go out to his family and loved ones he is one person i can genuinely say i will miss
