A lot more of these than usual at Bempton and I think they are a much more interesting colour than the mostly white with black wingtips of the mature adult birds and of course much easier to meter for.

These are likely to be late year 3 to early year 4 birds

Crap shots ? I'm lost for words,Stan. They're Superb. Wonderful detail. I'm used to seeing the full adult as you've described and agree,the juveniles are much more interesting to look at.

I've spent most time in the Birds forum the past day or so and thought I musn't neglect this one,glad I came on here.
 
First shot is quite nice, personally I'd probably clone the water spots, then again, maybe not as it shows that the water has some sparkle! Second one I'd have deleted tbh, as it's flying away from the camera and head turned away (y)
