Look Inside the new Peak District photo-location guidebook

Looks great, I shall have to order a copy as I find the Peak District a nightmare - never know where to start!

Hathersage Moor is always a good place to aim for, Rob, just in case the trip predates the arrival of the book

Thanks for ordering :)

Not been Hathersage Moor for a couple of years, its on my to go to places this year. Looking forward to getting the book too ;)

I live in Uttoxeter - hardly seen the Peak District, only lived here for 30 years though! I haven't even heard of most of the places in the preview even.....ordered, to give me somme ideas of where to just go, never mind photograph. Tissington is about as much of the Peak District I have seen, unless fishing, I do go to Ladybower, Carsington and several of the dales for the river fishing...leave the camera at home when there are fish to catch!

Ordered it the other day, cant wait for it to arrive :)

That looks great - some superb photos - adding it to my birthday pressie list !

When I placed my order, I thought this book was due to be released on 1 August. Now it is not scheduled until the end of the month. Did I misread and if not why the delay?

Looks a fantastic book from the preview, and some serious hard work done to put it all together. Ordered.

Over ambitious scheduling and a slight delay at the printers Archie. They are back next week.

Thanks for the update. Any chance of receiving it before the 26th as I'm up in the Peak District the following week?

We are hoping so Archie. If the printers are a correct it arrives at the warehouse next week.

Just trying to order and struggling to get it at the £20 price

Have I missed the deadline or do I need to put a voucher code in perhaps ?

Many thanks

Tony

Looks great. I especially like the inclusion of maps rather than just photos like a lot of photo books. This will definitely be added to my Christmas list unless I default to my usual lack of patience.

I would also be interested in a Yorkshire Dales version but doesn't seem like there is one on the list.

Lizzie Shepherd and Oliver Wright are working on the Dales.

Had a quick scan over my recently delivered copy and it looks excellent. Its now finding the time to sit and read it properly.

Did I read somewhere that there may be one for East Anglia in the future or am I imagining this ? Great series BTW

A pamphlet would be more than enough to describe big skies and flat expanses of land.
My misfortune to live there, might be best to let the waters reclaim the place

I've just seen your location so that might explain your post. Fen tigers for neighbours ??

I had the more genteel views of the Norfolk and Suffolk coast along with the Broads in mind [emoji1]

The counties you mention are decidedly nicer for scenery , just live here and no affinity to the area, will move once the wife retires.
Sorry, no idea what a fen tiger is, read reports of a wild animal lurking about, is that it?

Fen Tiger - used to a nickname for the old time Fen dwellers. Isolated, hard drinking and interbreeding were prevalent.
Since then Fen Tiger is a popular press term for sightings of apparent large wild cats roaming the area.
