Newbie to landscape photography, been enjoying the early starts and late finishes to catch the light at sunrise and sunset although I do like my sleep so haven't got out as much as I'd like :(. These are a few of what are probably my favourite shots from the last 3 months - the last 2 are the most recent from a trip to Snowdonia, the 2nd image is one of the first I took. Great to hear others' thoughts, thanks for looking, all critique, comments, much appreciated.

Nice set, I really like the colour in the second shot

I've just got my camera so I'm looking forward to getting out when I get chance to try and get a shot like that

Nice set, like the seven bridge image, never worked out how to get down there!
Thanks Gareth, I initially parked in the totally wrong place and had to hike it down the footpath for ages! There's a footpath by the railway line at Portskewett and then climb down onto the shore. I'm pretty sure you can get closer up too further along down the footpath but haven't had chance to explore that far down yet. May be one of those avoid getting drowned by the incoming tide locations though, I take no responsibility in advance ;)

That's a really nice set Abi, both composition and processing-wise, and you're obviously not a novice to photography even if these are your first forays into landscape.

Just one crit - there's a noticeable halo/border line around the mountain on the last shot, visible both here and on flickr, probably a result of controlling the extreme contrast.

The most impressive thing about the 'mountain shots' (and I hope you take this the right way, Abi) is the location. Very few photographers head up onto Carnedd Cribau, prefering to shoot 'low hanging fruit' in the honey pot locations!

Keep up the good work :)

Nice set Abi you have been out in search of some nice light and have found it and used it well IMO.
I would have preferred the first shot to have been taken from closer to the water myself.

Thanks all, really appreciate your comments and thoughts on these.

Thanks - yes I think I can see what you mean. There must be a processing trick to remove it perhaps? I use PS/Lightroom, I'll have a go on there.

And please keep that alarm set Abi ;) lovely set of images.
Ah but it's the snooze button that is my nemesis Kevin ;)

Great idea, thanks, I'll revisit there sometime and try the shot closer to the water, or hopefully with more of the tide in.

Haha thanks Nick - what can I say, I'm partial to a hike though bog with loads of heavy kit! It was also blissfully quiet. Have you been up there? Always worth it :)

Yes, it can be a bit damp around there! I live in Capel Curig at the foot of Moel Siabod so yes, I've visited 'Cribau' a few times...

The shot of Siabod and Llyn Diwaunedd is the pic [sic] of the bunch for me :D

Thanks. What a fabulous place to live, from living in the city in s.wales here, I am slightly (okay a lot) envious. :D
