Stair to nowhere

We're coming to Edinburgh in early December Stuart. I've persuaded SWMBO that the Botanic Gardens are worth a visit.

Anything to see these stairs!

Thats good Frank. You will get to see the Christmas lights and Edinburghs winter wonderland too!

Ah. Knew there'd be a down side!!!
Although if there's a Christmas market I could dump her and go out to the bridge???

Had to read that twice!
What? You mean go out to the bridge and dump her?
Now that's an idea!
Are there any tolls to pay for pedestrians?
(Totally off topic... I remember cheating the tolls on the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It was approx 1AM and I had no shirt on and was carrying piggy back style a heavy woman wearing fishnet stockings and suspenders. Don't ask, because I don't know. My back didn't like it. Don't worry about wifey...she was watching!)

No tolls to pay Frank which youcwill be glad to hear!

Unlike the new Runcorn Bridge that opened last night. £2 each way for a two minute trip.
We have to register and pay £30 in advance so that they can use our money. Or we have to pay within 24 hours or face a £60 fine.
Somebody Scottish must be running things!!!

Bloody hell Frank that must have been some sight, I'm still scarred from the sight that greeted me from Iceland one morning...... :naughty:

Hi Paul.
As you might imagine there had been some intake of alcoholic liquors. Quite a lot of intake.

You'll have to remind me of which particular Icelandic event. There were so many!

Noted your name change. You had me going for a minute.

Lets just say, someone was snoring and you ended up outside the room on the hallway, scantily dressed. I'll say no more sir. Hope you're well sir.

Ah yes. Scantily dressed was I? I'll take your word for that. Didn't get any shots did you?

How's life. Saw you were in Lakes at weekend. I thought of going but weather put me off. I went two weeks ago and finished up driving through floods that were 3 inches above the bottom of my doors. It's not been nice up here for months now.
