Met up with a small crowd from the TP forum at the weekend at the Lake District. Weather was pants, decent beer and the colours were pretty magnificent, and worth the 560 mils round trip with a road closure of 2hrs stop on the M6 :banghead:

Here we go and happy for any critique.

A nice set Paul, I like the second one most. The branch looks really good against the water

That's a lovely set, 2 and 3 in particular work well for me. It seems I'm going to be up there too late for the colour this year, expect with the strong winds there'll not be much left come November

Thank you Tilly

3rd for me Paul, really like that. Made the most of some pretty shoddy conditions!
Cheers Tom, weather wasn't great but it was perfect for some abstracts and in the forest with those beautiful colours. Hopefully meet you next time.

The second for me too, it really grabbed me with the sharpness against the silky water movement. Would make a fantastic desktop or phone wallpaper.

Thank you Ben

Like the Glencoe weather followed you lol. Nice set though. Like 2 and 3 personally
Yeah, not the first to comment on me being a Jonah :) If you want rain and miserable weather just give us a shout mate

2 and 3 of these are the best for me, but if that conditions were that horrible then really well done.
Cheers Toni, I think the weather helped with the autumn colours.

Tranquil and mist definitely has a Constable feel to it. Well done!
Cheers Gremlin

Thanks Scirocco, fingers crossed for you mate, the colours are pretty good at the moment.

Nice work I really like #3

The weather was awful last week and is still awful out here on the coast I was at work last weekend.

Thanks Alf. It definitely wasn't the best weather but hopefully calm and a cracking autumn is on the way.

It's usually the way with flowing water, a few test exposures to get your shutter speed exactly how you want it.

I think that's the beauty of the digital age as opposed to film, you can keep trying and checking what you have and have a whole selection to check when back at home on the pc or laptop. Nothing wrong with film though although more patience's require waiting to see what you have.

Yes i agree with the others No2 is beautiful i really like that, the colour pops really well against the water and the shutter speed just give the water the right texture to balance off the shot without over egging it.... well spotted and Very Nice!!
No3 is my next pick of the set love the muted tones(y)

Cheers Steve, glad you like them. I have a couple of others similar to No.2 but found this the best complimenting the colours. No.3 was a rather lucky find as I was driving to Clappersgate and the mist was descending across the field.
