Worthing Camera Club

Website: www.worthingcameraclub.org.uk

I have recently been elected as the new chairman of the club and happy to say that we have a full programme for club activities, both for the summer and winter. Visitors and newbies will be given a warm welcome regardless of their level of experience in our friendly little club and you don't even have to be a member to attend our summer events. During the winter months, we have a variety of activities including guest speakers, workshops, print competitions, and digital projected image comps.

A quick question for the Moderators please; We have a few fairly high profile guest speakers coming next season and I was wondering whether it would be ok to advertise them somewhere in the Forum pages?

Any for us Southerners?

How far South?
I go to Crayford Camera Club (N.E. Kent and within Greater London). All details on the website... http://www.crayfordcameraclub.co.uk/
I joined last January and have found them to be a friendly and enthusiastic bunch of people. A relaxed approach by all accounts judging by what I have heard and read about some clubs/societies. Having said that, there are plenty of competitions (club, inter club, regional etc), interesting talks from members and invited speakers, practical evenings, socials and members evenings. Also, a few of us meet up outside of pre organised timetable/events for exhibition visits and photo wanders. A wealth of experience including a couple of RPS members and an accredited judge (who is very friendly, and I have found him to be extremely helpful). First meeting of the year is this coming Tuesday, try us for free, and subs and joining fees are on the website.

Hi wil, yes the Bedford camera club is still going. Have a look at the web site for more information.

Not sure if there are many members in my area but I've been a part of Buncrana Camera Club since it started out and a committee member for as long as we've had one. We meet every Tuesday night either at our club house, O Flahertys Pub or out on field trips. We try to be out and about as much as the weather allows and even when it doesn't!! Great wee group of folk with a love of photography and new members always welcome, as long as they buy all the committee members a few pints!! LOL
We have a monthly themed competition, day trips and an annual overnight trip. If anyone's interested give me a shout! Thanks!!

Anyone know of any active clubs in Cheshire at all?

If I've missed them in here then apologies for being blind.

I don't know where abouts you are in Cheshire, but Chapel-en-le-frith has it's own camera club. I'm not a member (yet) it's the only one covering my area of the High Peak and Derbyshire at least and being West of Buxton it's not too far from Cheshire, depending where you are of course!

Chelmsford Camera Club meets on Thursday evenings (September to May) at Broomfield Football Club - a modern hall with excellent facilities, including loads of free, off road, parking.

There is a varied program of competitions and excellent speakers, and we have Special Interest Groups for Post Processing and Wildlife. The SIG meetings are on Zoom and attendance is free - the Wildlife SIG organises group visits to reserves in the Essex and Suffolk area.

It's a welcoming and friendly Club and, for beginners, we offer a teaching course. Newcomers can attend up to 3 meetings before joining to see whether it suits them.

Details are on the website at:
