WAMT....what annoyed me today!

Not a fan of braces
TBH nor was I, but then I started using them on my works fluorescent trousers, as they were cheap material, and kept sliding down, ( I do a lot of bending and at times, stretching)
with a belt, tried braces, and never looked back (y)

Firecrest filters - went out this morning to capture the last day of the pier at Trefor quickly before work as the morning was lovely and it's scheduled to be all removed by tomorrow, only to have all the photos ruined by the reflection of the lens in the filter. I don't know why I hung onto that particular filter, should have replaced with Lee like I did with the rest!

ndeed! even my mobile phone hates me :(

Thinking to myself, if people are genuinely ill and at A&E, how come they can be well enough to go outside every 20 minutes for a smoke?

You don't have be 'ill' to visit A & E. A broken arm - or whatever - qualifies as an accident and there's no reason why that would stop you going out? A lot of the people smoking outside our 'local' hospital seem to be staff anyway.

The people I saw had no broken limbs mate.

They could have all sorts of acute conditions that are not visible and do not restrict mobility. They could also be there with someone who is critically ill and currently being seen to by doctors but not ill themselves.

Very true. They could also be one of these a-holes who think that A&E is basically a GP practice for their own use at any time of day for any trifling ailment they feel they cant wait until their GP is actually open to go to.

They certainly could, young man from Dorset. We cannot tell just from the evidence that they are smoking a cigarette. You cannot condemn someone just because it is possible that they are at fault - they need to be actually at fault.

Not really annoyed, just slightly upset.

Fudge, Dartmoor Zoo's Syrian Brown Bear, reputedly the oldest known bear in the world has had to be put down. They've been monitoring her health for a while to make sure she wasn't suffering so when she showed signs that all was not well, the sad decision was taken. They're now keeping an eye on her long time companion (Hayley) to make sure she doesn't pine too much for her departed friend.

Are we breeding complete idiots these days?
Just narcissistic twatts that have to play one-up man-ship for farce book!

( there is also a Darwin award section too, where that should have been posted ;) )

It annoys me there are people who would do this - Cobra's comment is spot on - but it also annoys me a bit that there is a warning not to do it.

Isn't it obvious that you don't approach any wild animal let alone one that is probably about 200kg, around a metre+ at the shoulder, fast and more than a bit pumped up just now.

If you can't see the possible danger then let nature and the Darwin awards take their courses.

Ir happens in all the deer parks, despite the warning signs.
People just ignore them and wander up to the deer getting far to close.
It's how I almost got attacked when some idiot came straight out of the bracken almost next
to a pair of fighting stags opposite me at Richmond a few years back, it charged straight at me, luckily I had enough rime
to grab a low branch on a tree

Local news almost entirely about a local shopping centre reopening after a bit of a refit....as someone who doesn’t enjoy shopping I don’t care....

Everyone goes mad 'splody on the weekend of the 5th, and most places stop selling them after that, so they can't rearm until New Year (y)

Don't forget the siege mentality, where people just have to stock up :D
There is a place local to me that sells them all year round anyway..

If you stick a big one down a rat hole, will it launch the residents out of all the other holes?

All the major supermarkets will be selling them from now to new years....or so I thought, but according to this site, you can only buy fireworks (including sparklers) from registered sellers ie supermarkets, for private use on these dates:
  • 15 October to 10 November
  • 26 to 31 December
  • 3 days before Diwali and Chinese New Year
They always seem to be around longer than that.

Reading that US states allow children to marry. One case cited was a girl of 11 in Florida, who was made to marry the man who raped and made her pregnant. The parents apparently seemed to think that this action would give some sort of respectability to the pregnancy. The poor girl had 5 children by the time she was 16. So much for America being a civilised country.

The tractor that drove for 15 miles at between 10 and 20 MPH. Road was too twisty for anyone to safely overtake, even on a bike.
