trying to delete a self hosted WP site, but cant!

Ok i bought a domain name a couple years back and set up a Wordpress site on it but havnt used it for ages. So im trying to delete it. I logged into the WP admin page and have wiped all the content. Ive FTP's onto the site and deleted all the files. But when i browse to it, its still there! just an empty frame but im not getting a "404 not found" error but an empty wordpress page with a not found message on it.

now since i deleted all the files out of my FTP browser i assumed it would go. The domain name , TheGossipingPhotographer, is still registered to me for a few more months. But i want to wipe out every trace of it before i lose the name. Where is that home page coming from?

You probably need to log into the hosting service and delete the folder/template

ah yeah i got it, found a folder in there that needed removing too. thanks

Yes ... you need to delete all those folder and files under you public_html or www folder.

You'll need to visit the publicn html folder and remove the folder called "TheGossipingPhotographer"
