Guys,
Just back from a trip to Oz, where I took my D7000, 10-20, 24-120 and 150-600 lenses.
To be honest, although I took loads of photos, I found the weight of the gear a hinderence, and found I ended up using my phone a lot to take photos.
I'm thinking about ways to save weight and would welcome your thoughts.
Should I keep my 7000 and 150-600 for wildlife and get something else for general use? Or do I sell the lot and make a complete change?
Wildlife would be my first priority.
Possibly a panasonic gx8 with the 100-400 lens, or a fuji xt20 with the 100-400 lens, than adding other lenses as finances allow.
Cheers.

I sold my D7000 and have never regretted it. I use a Panasonic GX80 with the Panny 100-300 and really love it. The 100-400 is said to be excellent though outside of my budget.
Thanks for that.
Before the 7000 I had a panny g3 and the 100-300 but sold it to get the D7000 as at the time I felt the G3 was too small and I kept inadvertently changing settings etc without realising. It did produce great results though.
I'm pleased with the results I get from my current gear, but it is heavy and I'm not getting any younger.
Not sure how the gx8 would compare to my old g3 in terms of handling?

I've recently went from. D7000 to a Sony a6000. Still an older camera but to my eyes the high ISO is better, and I'm loving then size and design. Battery life was never an issue with the d7000 but it is with the a6000 (understandably)

I never found any one that felt the same but when i had my GX8 i kept pressing buttons with my hand as i held the camera, i changed it for a G80 and never had any more problem's, the 100-400 is a great lens,a couple from it and the GX8 @ 400MM
