Hi all,
Living in the South east of France has its advantages, heres one, living near the Pre Alps, Heres one shot from the weekend and it was fantastic seeing all this snow and there was just us 2 there and it was bliss.
Luckily the road was open and free of snow and only an advisory to have winter gear in the car. This is a shot from Sunday lunchtime ish.
Thanks for looking and more to be seen over at my flickr page.
PS, What causes that banding on here, I dont see it on my LR edit before sending it to flickr.

Sent a shiver ... looks cold (weather wise that is), but like the image.

The image on flickr is banding too btw. Suspect it has to do with your export settings from LR.

Thanks Paul, Actually we walked after the summit and the strong wind was less strong and walked for about 2-3 miles and in the sun its very pleasant, another reason why I love living here, the sun is always warm even in winter.

Looks like a nice place. Yup, the flickr image is banded too - turn off jpg compression before exporting to reduce the banding.

Ski season starting any day now [emoji1303] can’t wait!

Thanks, I'll try that, it's been bugging me lately.
And yes, when no one else is about it's really nice.

LOL thanks Steve, yeah and i`m only 2h30 - 3h away and I miss it as well.
On Sunday it was like this nearly all day with the exception of the clouds being blown about at the top of a few mountains.
It was epic, at 54 I had forgotten what it feels like to be 20 again .....plms

Know what you mean! I try to get up on the alps every weekend in winter to see the sun and escape the blanket of cloud. The snow has arrived here and more at the weekend so should be skiing again by end of the month. Time to put the winter tires on and service the skis :)
