Nikon D750 & D780

Even after a phone call and this was meant to be sorted. Looks like another phone call to Nikon tomorrow to sort this out.
Love the not thou that my shutter is not affected by the recall.
Well no it won't be you changed that two weeks ago. View attachment 115571
So the numpty'at nikon still want to charge you for their cock up? It's obvious that the left hand don't know what the right hand is doing.

Thats unbelievable! Hope they get it sorted for you as that really poor sending you a bill when they broke it. Just picked up mine from recall, currently going through it and checking. I can confirm the shutter count wasn't reset, its 170 on from when I sent it in so definitely not reset like some say.

Well all sorted with Nikon. More apologises about the mix up.

Will be sent out today. So should get it back Monday/ Tuesday. The other half wants some pics of her big pregnant belly.
I'll have to remember how to use it and get the ocf skills back up and running again.
Plus use some imagination on doing something different. That will be the harder task lol

I hope it is going good when you get it back. It hasn't inspired any confidence in me to send mine in for the recall.

I think it was a freak accident tbh.
It has been dispatched as promised will be back on Monday.
Tbh I think it's also out of warranty but I'm not going to argue

I sent mine in, quick testing it looks to be fine. Hoping to try it out more this weekend. It didn't inspire any confidence with me either but I thought we probably notice the ones that have a problem whilst there are probably plenty of others that come back fine.

Glad they got it all sorted for you. Hope it comes back all fine this time.

Trying to finds some love fro my 85/1.8 but it's always either too short or too long.:(

Then get closer or move further away :D

If I used it more often I'd probably get the hang of where to stand with the 85.

Tried it on people?

As a cosh? :D It's probably fine for head shots, but I don't do them as a rule. I prefer full length or environmental portraits on the odd occasions I do that sort of thing.

Well I a tualy quite like that. I'd clone out the blurry twig in the foreground and try to lighten the shadows on the cow a bit, I like the tones a lot

Ta. The blurry twig doesn't bother me TBH. But it's only a snap anyway. I don't like the position of the legs or the way the tail isn't obvious.

I wrote off 5 hours yesterday of driving and 270 miles to collect my £2k paper weight. Dropping off with Apple in store tomorrow and so I guess by the time I get an estimate back, insurance sorted and repaired, could be some time. Happy days!

Bummer. Hope you get it sorted soon.

Managed to set PS up on the daughters laptop to get a picture for a xmas card done. Also used my new xmas present of a new soft box too for this.

Had a terrible time shooting yesterday. Was taking some pics of the wife doing her first show jumping on our new boy.

The indoor arena was badly lit, typical kind of high up yellow barn lights. Lots of sky lights but it was such a dull day hardly any extra light was coming in.

He is also a very dark brown, almost black horse which didn’t help. Even the 70-200 2.8 was really struggling. At times it just wouldn’t find focus.

Had I known I was allowed in the arena I could have taken the 50mm.

Luckily I got a couple of shots but nothing special. I don’t know if there was anything else I could have done!!

Fantastic, bet your other half is blown away by that. The recipients of the cards are going to be really cuffed. Love the catch lights. This just one softbox with speed light?

This one is lovely lovely!

Thank you.

I was a little in the dog house for not having a xmas card pic lined up..

It’s a single big soft box, 135x50 strip. A speedlight wouldn’t fill it.

Really nice shot with lovely processing Kris.

Thanks Andy. Haven’t done too much with this one really other than tidying. I wanted a warm feel to it and without a calibrated screen checked on phone first, I’m happy enough with it. Just wish big sis had put trousers on and not a skirt, I’ve added a small gradient to draw away attention there from the legs.

Heres one from me from this morning, A day off for me but still awake at silly o/clock :(
This Island is called ile D`ore (Golden Island) and for this shot in PP i have increased the Sats for that "Golden glow" look.
This coastline does have this lovely Red rock which shines when the first light from the sun hits it.
Click for the flickr shot.

For this shot I zoomed in while I was taking a shot on a LE.
Does that screw with your eyes lol.
Just a bit of fun really.
