Fuji x100/S/T/F Owners Thread

Like it a lot. Decided not to shoot fillum exclusively then ?

Hi Trevor in the end it became to tempting not to purchase the X100F i have had every incarnation since the original and this one seems like they have most things right. Love the new sized sensor and extra control.

Taken with the Fuji X100F this morning.

Never thought I would be able to bring myself to spend £1300 on a "compact" camera but i'm off to Jessops today to buy a 100F after they gave me a stonking trade in price on my XF100-400 lens. Some of the results on here are stunning, looking forward to having a play over the weekend. Sold all my XT-2 stuff a while back, got fed up with carrying multiple lenses, the bag just got bigger and heavier.

I think the weight seems to get to everyone in the end,i was never happy with the lens i had on and continually kept changing lenses. On and off and on and off and it goes on. i like the 35mm viewpoint and i have the choice step forward or back much easier :)

Totally agree and when I look back all of my best results are from fixed length lenses, I need to learn to move a bit more instead of changing a lens.

I've gone down the same road recently - sold my 2 X-Pros and heavy lenses and kept my X100F. I did buy a s/h X-T1 for use at home with my 18-55 but this will stay put when I go out and about. Against my better judgement, I did acquire a WCL for the X100F but TBH I prefer using the X100F without it - it just destroys the form factor of the camera and for the additional 4mm on focal length, it does seem a bit excessive.

I'm on the look out for a x100f. No read to get rid of the xt1 and 18-55 just yet but that is the plan. My aim is to just have a x100f and have it on me always.

Good plan.

Yes Adrian i did but i now have had my d3300 for almost 3 months and i only have the 18-55 afp vr :fuji:

Iam sure i saw you selling your zoom lens as well recently...lol Iam the expert at buying and selling camera equipment however had more fresh starts and this is the camera more times that i can shake a stick at.

I have been contemplating this for a while. Same use as you really. Just need to execute it at some point!

Ditto. I have one, and I have found it useful in certain circumstances. But I could just as easily have managed without it for the past month in Oz and HK. And the TCL (which I owned for a short time when I had the 100S) is worse still for balance. With the resolution the 24 megapixels brings it’s just as easy to crop.

Very nice presentation Sir, well composed, some nice reflections, and a good bit of mono PP work giving a nice full range of tones.(y)

George.

I just picked one up in the classifieds, so I’m back in black (it’s black, with the upgraded sensor over the silver ones) [emoji41]
If it’s anything like my black car, it’ll show up all the mud the first time you take it out. Besides, that black over the viewfinder window will confuse the metering. :D

First day out with the x100f tomorrow let's see how well I do.

How do I set the min iso and shutter speed for auto iso?

Learned ones, some help please. Recently picked up @cambsno 's X100t to replace my x100. It's a while since I've used an X100T and can't recall whether it's possible to set different jpeg settings for different film simulations. I like really contrasty b&w settings but doesn't always work so well on colour.

Yes your just setting custom settings in the menu

Cheers. Spotted that. But are they not a separate set of settings all together? if I set a custom setting for black+white green filter as a custom setting, I presume that has no effect if I then select b+w green filter from normal film sim menu? I only ask because the custom profiles don't show up when you just scroll through film sims. You have to go into the menu to select them. Or so it would seem. More experimenting needed I suspect.

I've set my custom settings to the WiFi button . So create and save them then assign them to a function button of your choice

Ahh, I see. That's an option I could look at. Might work actually as I can always select wifi from menu. Seems weird that wifi can't be added to quick menu though.

Cheers,

Cheers,
I don't use wi-fi so that's why I choose it but custom settings can be set to many buttons of your own choice
