The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Alan
Been meaning to ask is it your exposure or colour balance that seems off to me? Very yellow compared to what comes out of my A7.
Jamie

Yes everything is way off but it's deliberate :D

The light Up North is often poor and on the dinosaur day it wasn't photogenic at all and all I got was dead light lifeless pictures with a bit of a blue cast. I often save a copy of pictures as the scene looked in reality and also maybe an artistic interpretation too :D For the dinosaur pictures I did save the lifeless slight blue cast pictures but also altered the white balance and pushed the contrast and saturation and played about in Nik filters with the detail extractor and contrast and colour range.

I admit the results aren't reality and may not be to everyones taste :D

A bit more real :D but with an ND added in post capture and the exposure backed off a bit for the sky.

I was a bit peeved actually as the previous day we'd had a clear blue sky but I couldn't go out and then when I could the next day the light was poor.

Once I start I can't stop :D

how much did you pay for it and from where?
Been on look out for one of these or tamron adaptall 17mm f3.5 but they seem to be on expensive side these days.

I got it from evil bay and paid just over £100. I think there were a couple about in various mounts but I went for the Minolta mount as the Minolta's tend to be my favourite old lenses so I can take the wide and something like the 45mm f2 and just the one adapter.

My plan was to crop out the corners and still end up with quite a wide shot but as with the 19mm Vivitar I think it's good enough for a whole image viewed normally.

I'm planning on advertising the Vivitar 19mm if you're interested and also a FD 85mm f1.8 when I get around to it.

you read my mind :D
with 42mp I though I could easily corp bit and get a sharp 19-20mm-ish results. That lens is actually reasonably sharp tbh. I used to have it when I shot a-mount.

how much for the 19mm? (I need an UWA by xmas...)

I was thinking of advertising it for £100 delivered. If you're interested I can create a thread and give you first refusal.

I don't know if you've seen the Vivitar 19mm, AFAIK it's one of those lenses that was badged by the usual suspects. It's quite a compact lens. There are some pictures taken with it here...

I am interested but not at that price. I've seen them so as low as £50 and there is currently one on evilbay for £80. So much offer would be much lower than your initial price :)

OK. I may have paid a bit extra because it's in the mount I wanted and in such nice condition :D

If it doesn't find a buyer I wont be upset. I should listen to my own advice which is usually never sell anything :D

Cold with a light dusting here. My neighbours down the bottom leave their washing out in all weathers :D

While I change my gear more often than clothes I at least keep to one brand (as far as bodies go) :D

Though I have to say rather forcefully, no one else makes a FF with EVF :(
