Fuji x100/S/T/F Owners Thread

Another rookie question folks. I set up the three auto iso modes for different min shutter speeds. But I’ve noticed that my settings seem to revert to defaults from time to time and changes are lost. What am I doing wrong there?

This is driving me nuts now. I thought I'd save some auto iso settings to custom profiles. Some have saved my settings. Some have reverted to the pointless default values. How have Fuji made this so clumsy?

Very nice winters scene Sir, well composed and works just fine in mono with a good full range of tones.(y)

George.

My new x100f has a fault. If I set the custom image setting in the I.g they go back to default. This either happens as soon as its turned off and back on or today it lasted for a few hours then reset. Anyone else had this issue?

Yep. Turns out that after changing a Custom Setting I needed to press the Left button on the D pad. I was then able to save it.

OK thanks, fingers crossed its that.

The Manual (page 88) is confusing, but just hit the left D pad button and save.
Do not scroll to the top of the Custom menu and save Current settings.
This will reset the settings to whatever you're currently using. It doesn't save your recent changes.

Just received my 7th or 8th TCL. Might try and make use of this one and keep hold of it

I'm thinking it's maybe time to part with the X-T2 and lenses :eek: It's just past it's 1st birthday and I've taken less than 1700 shots.

That’s the thing about the F. It asks the question whether you need anything else.

For me the answer is yes, for wildlife I will have DSLR and long lens.
For everything else the F has it covered.

Caveat being nailing the Grandchildren this Christmas.

This is very true, but I shall be keeping my X-T2 plus some lenses as:-

a) I can shoot wider with ease
b) I can shoot with the 90mm F2
c) I get much sharper images with some of Fuji Primes (14, 16, 23 and 90)

But for most of my needs the X100F does the trick!!

It’s something I’ve been asking myself for a couple of months. Not helped by the use I got out of it in the past month on holiday. I am reluctant to part with my X-T2 and lenses, but I’m not really sure why. And it’s not helped by the purchase/gift in Australia of a very nice Peak Design backpack, the best bag I’ve ever had, but a bit OTT for the X100F, even with the WCL!
