Film Photographer of the Year 2017 has come to an end, and it was down to the wire with the deciding votes being cast in the final few days.

Thank you to everyone that entered, voted, or was involved with the discussion for the year. We had 208 entries between 31 competitors, with 779 votes being cast overall. I’m grateful that so many people took part in one way or another, and hope that we carry on upwards for 2018.

It was getting quite tight at the top! Congratulations Nick for a well deserved win against some stiff competition. Good to see so many people entering, well done chaps and chapesses!!

Carl, thanks for all your hard work in setting up and running FPOTY 2017 and also for carrying on with the 2018 competition. It's much appreciated!! :)
 
Thanks folks, to say that I’m chuffed is an understatement, :banana::banana::banana: it was all very tight at the end and there were some awesome entries over the year. Congrats to everyone that entered and made it a really fun competition to be part of.

I thought that the standard of entries was incredibly high.
 
Congratulations to the top 3, well done and a big thanks to Carl for putting all the time and effort in to make it all run so smoothly. (y) Here's to the 2018 comp. :)
 
Congrats to the winner\winners and nice to see the enthusiasm for those that entered and of course thanks to Carl for organising....bring it on for 2018 and I'll have another go in getting somewhere.
 
Congratulations to Nick, Nige and Jonathan. I really did think Carl was going to have to saw that prize in half, before the late run for Nick!

And @Carl Hall has been a real star right through the year, thanks so much for organising this, Carl!
