My Sister in Law as taken her dog to a training class every Saturday for years it as become more a social thing than dog training. The lady whom runs the class is a real animal lover and keeps goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and off course a few dogs.
A few years back she bought a little Whippet pup and after seeing some photos of my Sister in laws Westie that I had taken asked if I wanted to try take some photos of the puppy. Luckily they turned out ok.
The puppy from back then is the the mother of the puppies in the photos below.

Sorry for the waffle but it seemed odd to dump them here without a little background.

Feedback crit is more than welcome on any aspect.

Great takes… all lovely, Gary! (y)(y)(y)

#6 is looking like: "you're not done yet???"

Excellent job, the first must have taken some patience! Lovely lighting, great photos.

Well done Gary , Lighting looks good...... particularly like number 3

Absolutely nothing wrong with a bit of waffle and I for one much prefer a little waffle to give some insight to the photo/s rather than just dump a photo here.
And a little camera info is also included in that.
Last 2 shots are pleasing to my eye and it looks like the last one is winking at you ;)

These are wonderful. Like Kodiak says regarding the last one... Well done.

Wow. I'm so happy to have gotten such a good response to these.

Thanks Daniel ;-)
Agreed they are.

Hi Tony. The first photo was the one I really wanted to get. We thought he chances would be very slim. Luckily when I arrived at there home they were all sleepy. So we were able to place them on the settee.. Obviously they woke up and wouldn't play ball but with a bit of patience I got a shot with them all in bar the last fellow on the end as he had his back to us in the original frame. So I cheated and added him in from the previous frame I took.
Didn't have to admit that but felt the need. Great to hear that the lighting worked out.
Great shots
Thanks Robert.
Very nice photos
Thanks Martin.
Great photos Gary, you’ve caught some wonderful expressions.
Cheers Keith

Thanks Graham. That's good to know.
Camera info is : Canon 6d 24/105 lens
Settings. f9 shutter 1/160 Iso 200_______iso may vary about a little bit as, sometimes rather than alter the flash power I find it quicker. Obviously I'm no professional so not sure if a proper photographer would do this but it works for me.
Fabulous set! #5 is a great image.
Thanks Leroy.
Beautiful images of beautiful pups....... this one is just adorable
Thanks Ian. I must admit this was my favorite of the bunch.
Brilliant set, particularly like the third shot.
Thanks Jon. That's the one a really like too.
What light is that, looks very good
Hi there. Earlier in the week before I took the photos I ordered a Godox A200 so I used this for the first time. I have always used my speedlight in the 90x90 softbox plus a reflector on the opposite side.
I bought the AD200 as I had some money spare and thought the extra power may come in handy especially as I was worried about lighting a large group which I hadn't done before. I can only assume it helped power wise on the group photo but I have no idea. I must admit when the Godox arrived I did wonder why I bought it. Mind you I think that says more about my personalty than anything else. Thrifty some might say !!
I am 100% convinced the speedlight would have worked as it as never let me down before. I have took plenty individual and couple shots ( Dogs) with the speedlight set up and will most likely will do so in the future.
Hope the info is of use.
These are wonderful. Like Kodiak says regarding the last one... Well done.
Many thanks.

Eight puppies sounds like madness, but you've pulled it off. Wonderful set (y)

Thay all look a bit too dark on the right for me.Just a bit. Nice photos though.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving some feedback it's much appreciated. It's a fine line between evenly lit and some shadow. I guess experience will help me find that line.

Great collection of images there.

These are DELIGHTFUL! Thanks for sharing :)

Stunning captures.
I'm a sucker for puppies (that's how we ended up with a rescue lurcher pup)!
No4 would soon find a place in our home (along with the others)...

I love the 5th! Super cute :)
Hi Liz. Thanks for stopping by and leaving some feedback. Yes I admit I did have a soft spot for that one too.

Hi Paul. Thanks for the compliment. That's great you took a rescue dog on.
8 puppies! Brave man, you've pulled it off though
Thanks Hugh. I did really want to get a group photo so I was really made up to get this. Apart from two they were all going to there new homes the next day so I wouldn't be able to try again.
Many thanks for taking the time to look and comment.
