My nephew does a lot of volunteering there, it would be a bit of a coincidence if you snapped him and posted it for your 52 this week
 
Tried to get my shot of people about half an hr ago, got my camera out n turned out on only to discover I'd left my memory card in my pc. Oh well, better luck next time I suppose ☺️
 
I would just like to say, I am sorry for the rant about the weather on my people post. I have had another look at the shots and do like them, yes they are on theme but I think I was trying to push my self too much and user error for the first time yesterday :dummy::dummy::eek: Still have this cold though, and just have to learn, tough on the weather :)

this doesn't sound like you Dave??? no bites from mysterious glowing spiders? or perhaps driving your car through a ominous yellow fog... i'm not concerned for your health, i'm just making sure we don't have to send round Bruce Campbell to thin the photo52 herd of potential zombism.... which is another side affect of getting the theme shot in early and having to wait 4-5 days til the next...
 
and Im done...bit of commenting through the afternoon,,,is it Thursday yet?

It was one of those days where I was not happy with my shots and the weather, but what it really was is User error from me for the first time with the Fuji. So went back out today and thought don`t rush and just enjoy my self and I did :)

So - what's the deal with posting more than one pic per week? I've seen a few people doing it. It that ok?

I went out on Saturday specifically to get this week's "people" pic. I ended up with 3 shots I was happy with but posted my fave.

I was thinking maybe add the best one to the communal "photos only" thread but maybe add the others to my own thread?

Yes it's best to post your favourite in the main thread and then post the others in your own thread

That's what I've been doing. If I find by some miracle, I have managed to get a couple of shots I am happy with or that I can't decide between some then I put what I think fits the theme best in the photo thread and add the extras in my own personal thread so that I can get more CC.

As @Dave70D said one in the main thread and the rest in your own thread. I find if you post one people will give more detailed feedback on the one photo, if you post two or three you will generally get which is their favourite (with may be a reason why) but not much more in terms of detailed crit.

@Dave70D, I played with an X-T2 in Jessops yesterday. I think I could learn to love and hate the EVF. Love for the clarity, info and WYSIWYG nature of it, hate for the ripping of the display as you move around.
I do like the manual, tactile nature of it.
It could be added to my arsenal in a few months maybe.

If you do get one, you will grow to love it even if folk say a camera is a tool :)

I got mine three months ago and the EVF is the thing I found hardest to get used to. Everything else is intuitive and - as you said - the feel of the thing is great. I still have my D750 but it's been neglected and I find myself using the X-T2 all the time now as I get used to it, and of course it's so small and light to pick up and carry, which is a huge bonus for me.
 
Only two weeks in and I'm falling behind with the comments:banghead: I'll keep working on it but apologies if I 'm late or miss any.:)

I would not worry about that John, as I have not commented on everyone`s shots so just try and comment on a few as so many have joined the 52 this year :)

i did put a crate of beer in the post, but found i had to empty each bottle in one at a time, got a feeling the address label got a bit damp so might not have made it to you in time :shifty::beer:
