Considering getting this model. Is there anything else for the money (£270) that is better?

Excellent for what it is, also paired with the bowens adaptor complete with the modelling light.

There is enough power from one unit to fill a good sized modifier, for simple portrait lighting etc. it has become my go to. I am so pleased I have added a Godox speedlight and will, eventually, be adding a further two AD200's.

I have also added 2.4ghz receivers to my Lencarta Safari 2's so they can all be used together (bearing in mind the difference in modelling light output).

If you need highly portable with bells and whistles they fit the brief very well indeed.

How do you guys find them?

Good reliable lights. Can connect two to make up a more powerful light. They're versatile as the have the Fresnel head and a bare bulb. I've also bought an LED attachment for mine for light painting, using as a torch in wedding receptions etc. I'd recommend the X-Pro transmitter.

I have 2 of the AD200’s and am really pleased with them although I only have them a couple of weeks so time will tell. They are an excellent replacement for what I used to use standard flashguns off camera for.

I am switching everything over to Godox and have 2 x AD600’s hopefully being delivered tomorrow. I also got a couple of Ving860’s last week. As a system everything integrates and works together quite well. The pro version of the triggers also work really well, the older x version are okay and very cheap.

Why people never ask for what purpose and where with such questions I will never understand. I received a test AD200 from the factory and have used it ever since in many situations, great bit of gear as far as I am concerned.

For what it does, it’s the best thing you can get.

As above, what is it that you need it to do?
