Any one had issues with the Canon Cash back offers?

Purchased a new Canon, did the online form filling and scanned receipt etc.
Didn't get a conformation Email chased Canon who gave me the run around including 1 hour on the phone! now tell me its a different department who never answer my emails, but told me on the phone they have no record of me and its too late to claim?
Looking at a few other forums others have had the same issue?
 
I had Canon cashback with the first dslr I ever bought. Went smooth as could be
 
Got mine two weeks after I submitted it, they emailed me confirmation of my application and sent a link for me to track the progress.

this is the email address my confirmation came from cashback@claim-lookup.com you might try that and ask what is going on
 
Bought a 16-35 from Jessops a couple of weeks ago and have had three emails from Canon with claim status updates. So far all gone smoothly, just waiting for the cashback now.

I did they just ask for it in writing as they tell me they have no record, then they ask for the paper work then tell me its too late?
I haven't dreamt this, I did all the stuff it asked but then never got follow up emails

Mine did. No paperwork at all.
No had to fill out an online form, should have started to get progress emails.
Rang Canon UK kept me on the phone for 1 hour then told me its the cash back people ring them

Was it UK sourced etc?

In that case, I can’t think of any issues. Cash back from Canon via Park Camera purchases a few years back we’re always paid, even if it took some time - no comms though, and no means to track.
 
Having a quick Google it looks like a few other people have had similar issues, Chad back co do as they please and Canon show no interest shame really as they have lost a good customer, its not the £20 its being ripped by some one you trusted.
When you ring to complain no one senior is ever available, the just keep you hanging on in the hope you will go away.
 
Can you say which product and which specific promotion it was......as Canon have had various cashback promotions over time???

PS the most recent one I think was where cashback was offered on listed lenses when it was bought with specific Canon bodies.

Found the ref......well JL was one of the approved shops.

I vaguely recall that with such promotions they explicitly state that if 'you' have failed to complete the claim exactly to the letter it will fail. However, should it fail they will not tell you and ask questions to let you reconfirm your claim.

Whether you had any chance of a resolution sadly is doubtful, though out of interest did ask JL what they thought as they have a very solid customer service process (by all accounts) to try to ensure satisfaction???
