Now, I'm not one to "follow" stuff on FB or anywhere else for that matter, but this is really worth a chuckle if you are bored
Anyone else following?
Basically its a Hotel v Blogger that wanted free stuff.

It seems to have gone a little viral with the Cafe defending its stance and the self professed lifestyle and travel guru crying in her beer ..

Had a good thread on this on another forum im on.
The consensus was she is a self entitled snowflake.

I have a YouTube channel, granted not quite as big as hers but not far off. I get lots of free stuff offered and sent to me, but I would never in a million years actually ask for something for free because I think I actually have any influence over anybody.

The line that summed it up for me was the one about how Disney world Orlando used her and saw a big increase in traffic.. give it a rest love, you are fly in Micky mouse’s poo compared to their marketing budget, you honestly think some 2 bit youtube blogger with less than 100k subs has any effect on their traffic and visitors?

Typical of this generation thinking all they have to do is talk up brands on YouTube and they are set for life.
What annoys me even more is they will always say how amazing the product is, even when it’s clearly not, just to keep getting free stuff.

I have no qualms about saying a product is s***e, and believe me I’ve had some s***e sent to me over the years.

One product I even refused to make a video on it was so bad.
 
Yeah, I think the "blogger" is totally to blame.

But IIRC this is the hotel that had a very public social media "war" with vegans a while back. Methinks he doth Facebook mock-outrage a little too much.

I know what Raylan Givens would say......

 
This is proving to be fairly interesting as to what people's true opinions are. To me, there is never any need to be rude and cause the abuse this blogger has received. At worst ignore the email, or respectfully decline.

He is infamous for causing these social media wars which just leads me to think he's a very nasty person only out to boost his own marketing and social media presence.

So how does that make this poor girl worse than him?

But it seems it's way easier to pick on the defenceless blogger, whether we agree with her methods or life choices or not. I don't think that's on at all. Unfortunately even in this thread she has received abuse about her appearance.

I identified her from his very post, you could see he hadn't covered it up fully. He's a very "clever" chap....

If she hadn't outed herself and played the "poor violated me" card, it would have gone away before it even began.
She got called out for being greedy, and that doesn't sit well with her.

You're wrong imo.
The cafe post was for the giggles of their following, who were unlikely to have taken much notice of the redacted sections, no matter how poorly executed.

If she hadn't started weeping and wailing online, the matter would have died a death on day one.

I think it’s disgusting that so many people, including a successful business owner such as this chap, are happy to abuse her online. There’s never any need for it.

I don’t watch her channel or even anything from that kinda world but I’d never resort to nasty personal jokes about another person. And I’ve been in court with a guy that, driving recklessly, nearly killed me and killed my young friend.

Maybe I’m old fashioned.
 
How has her abused her? What a load of tripe.
All he did was post her email up and tell her she should pay like everyone else has too.

The man knows exactly how to stir up the internet frenzy. The poor girl doesn't have the same mentality for that kind of fallout. So a nice person or even just a professional person would leave it at the email and not post, knowing full well what will happen. His track record shows that he knows exactly how to play social media to get exposure.

This thread alone is proof that the abuse that ensues is unnecessary.

Of course we all have different opinions. I just think the decent thing to do would have been to ignore her email or at the very least properly cover up her identity and maybe once she had her turn, leave it at that. But as I said, the man sure knows how to whip up a crowd and get exposure. Hitler did a similar thing :D

She's not a girl. She's a 22 year old woman who has chosen to expose almost all facets of her life on social media.

Attention wh***s of this variety, male or female, should be prepared for public vilification, for taking the p***, or else perhaps try actually working for a living amongst mere mortals.

I maintain that had she not taken to that same social media to increase her numbers, this would never have hit the radars.

Maybe she planned this all along. Her subscriber count has rocketed on YouTube, I’d never heard of her before, now I have..
They say there is no such thing as bad publicity and I can guarantee her Adsense revenue over the last week will probably outweigh the whole of last year.

I think she’s played the game and won.

I genuinely believe she is no match for the chap and his style. It's not a fair fight :LOL:

It's also a sad fact of modern society that many think "she should be prepared for public vilification."

I just don't think anybody deserves to be vilified for a lifestyle choice, however vain it may be.

I mean there's evil people on the planet who get off scott free. Yet somebody like this blogger "should be prepared for public vilification"? I can't get on board with that, with respect to you sorry!

I figure if we don't like something, we don't need to be rude to the person. Just a respectful no and move on. Spread some love somewhere, that's all I mean.

Looks to me that they are both exploiting each other (and not being straight) to grow followers, subscribers etc....numbers indicate it’s a successful strategy.

Its clear the owner of the place has, so to speak, got form in this area. On this particular issue I don't think it is clear whether he intentionally blanked out her name in a way that would still leave it visible if looked at carefully, but I also think the best action would have been for him to simply refuse and leave it at that.

What is clear is that someone tried to get a stuff because she would do a review online and didn't like the response.

I tried to watch the video of the vlogger but couldn't get very far through it - the presentation was awful. The bit I did see sounds like, despite saying that if you put yourself out on the net you will get comments, she can't take negative ones, even if none were as awful and disgusting as she alleges.

"Snowflake"! Way too feeble to be a snowflake.

I got as far as hearing her say she was going to try to make the video as short as possible.

I thought that would best achieved by not making the video at all. Failing that, if she tried getting to the point it might help.

Clearly this video is not intended for male, old fart like me but I can't help thinking that what she wants to say is, "Look at me, me, ME, aren't I great?"

That's the same lass who was selling "her" (edit) Boots advent calendar thing at £50 a pop, until some guy roasted her for being a thieving *** on another YT video showing just what cheap tat was in it.

I’m afraid to admit that I know that was 'Zoella' who came a cropper with the calendar. She has many more followers than this one I think.

I'm pretty sure the 22 year old business woman did her research and knew precisely what she was doing, she now has world wide publicity for her channel and her subscriber numbers have gone up apparently.
