WAMT....what annoyed me today!

There are plenty of other places you can use your nectar points, Argos, eBay and many more.

Don't use ebay and like to see what I am buy before I buy, argos you have to do the returns thing if you don't want it.
We were in Godalming collecting the keys and that's where the shop was, limited time drive round searching for parking,
had a car full of stuff to empty when we got access to the flat, still going to trash the card, don't use it much these days

Seems you can only use them in the store you normally shop in unlesss you have been to another shop more
then 3 times
That's extracting the urine!

Whoever told you you couldn't use it is incorrect. Their own site confirms:

Can I spend my Nectar points in any Sainsbury’s store?
Yes. If you’ve swiped instore recently you’ll be able to spend your Nectar points automatically. If you want to spend your Nectar points somewhere you’ve not swiped before you can still spend your points, just tell a Sainsbury’s colleague and they can help out.

Hadn't swiped them before at that store and got the same reply from 2 different stores
and yes I did to customer services., don't use it enough to worry, but if you have a nectar card and wish to prove me
wrong, feel free

Home insurance renewal. Has it gone up or down, what do you reckon? :banghead:

By £30, but money is money.

Then it's 2 misinformed staffers unaware of their own policies.

Spent points last July in a Sheffield Sainsbury's which I'd previously never visited in my life, no problems at all.

Misprogrammed checkouts too as neither the normal one or customer service showed any credit.
But as I rarely use sainsburys it's not going to be a future problem

f/0.5 pupils! Ocular Hypertension check (sort of possible precursor to Glaucoma) so had eye drops. No driving and the monitor's brightness is turned way down. Would have been a nice afternoon for a ride too. :(

On the bright (!) side, all still well under control; no change since 2013 when I was first diagnosed.

Well, over 25 years in the pest control industry, and today was the first time I've been bitten by a rat!
Tis only a scratch, and a pressure bruise on my finger nail.
If I stop posting, you know I died of something horrible and painful :D

"You dirty rat! You bit our Cobra!"

Hope he's had his shots... (I'll leave it up to the reader to decide whether I mean the rat or the snake...) :p

I'm up to date, don't know about the Rat..
I did however leave it a little "Contact poison" ( it does what it says on the tin)
So next time it sticks its head out, will be its last ....

Acute lead poisoning works well... As long as it's administered accurately. :D

Hope nothing develops on your side (well, finger but you know what I mean!)

That was terrible even for you :p

No risk of Weils,. that's the other end ;)
and I'm up to date with tetanus immunity.
Seems the black plague wasn't actually the rats fault ( or the fleas on the rats) so I should be ok there.
Salmonella, well there is always that risk in the places I work anyway ...
So far so good :D

That rat must have been desperate for food after the cold snap. :runaway:

There's not much nutrition in a vinyl glove :D

TBH it was my fault for sticking my hand in a "Confined space" in a machine ( yes it was turned off :D ) to clear out the crap before baiting it.
It seems the "crap" was the rats nest, and it took exception to being made homeless ..

When you’re in the supermarket buying food to donate to the food bank and some tw@ hits your car in the car park and drives off!

Not unreasonable...:p

Most have cctv so worth asking the store?

Yes, they may have useful CCTV footage to aid your investigation.......but do not forget all such stores have a disclaimer stating "you park at your risk, not the store".

I didn’t even think of that, the damage isn’t bad but it’s not the point. Why do people damage somebody else’s property and not even apologise

At least you did not get a note "people are watching and nodding that I am doing the right thing.......but only you know I am have left you nothing!". And no, thankfully I have not had such a note but have had the odd very minor mark left by other parkers who care squat about '''doing the right thing"

I heard of a (supposed) case where someone added on the back: "Thought the guy looked smug writing this, so I checked when he'd gone; here's his cars make, colour, and registration."

If it is a minor scrape it is possible that the driver did not notice?

Plantar Fasciitis. Almost as much fun as piles. Can only think that the trudge up the hill last week has set it off again.

Not fun but not crippling. Got some Sorbothane heel inserts that seem to be helping so will see how it goes on.

Not fun but not crippling.
Not fun at all :(
I've been living with it for 6+ months now, I have good days, I have bad days, some days it hurts some days it cripples,
But then I do a lot of walking in my job, on un even ground, which is the worse possible terrain ... shoe / boot inserts help to a point ..
As do the "stretching exercises" last thing at night.

I have spent the day restoring my computer to the state is was in before my recent hard drive issues. Mostly gone well but a lot of piddling little things that have been hard work.

Lightroom! I have a CD of Lightroom 6. Reloaded that - very easy. No need to input the serial number as Adobe have that already on my Adobe account. So far, so good. Clicked on 'update' to get back to version 6.14 from the version 6.0 on the CD. Update tells me I have the latest version. 'About' tells me I still have version 6.0. Try to use it and get the message that the Raw files from my EOS 80D are not a recognised format. Eventually find, on the Adobe site, a list of downloads for all the Lightroom updates and installed Version 6.14 - why could Update not find that? All fine now but a couple of hours of my life I shall never get back.

Emails took a lot of fiddling about as well. Bestbeloved's collection of critically important emails disappeared. Found them while looking for something else.

My Spyder software is seriously misbehaving - I'm leaving that for tomorrow as there is a large whiskey with my name on it currently evaporating to no good effect.

Weirdly, a round of golf (only 9 holes) which is ~2 1/2 miles doesn't cause a flare up. I'm doing the calf stretches morning and evening as well as rolling a small, hard ball under the sole of my foot (the best use I've found for yet-to-be-lost golf balls!) What doesn't help is that I stood on a sharp can lid as a child and have a 2" scar on the sole of the affected foot. Vague memories of some time in a wheelchair over a summer - I think it's come back to haunt me!

I found that didn't work, wearing a pair of Eva Madrid Birkenstocks around the house is helpful.
Where as before it was always bare feet ..

I wear crocs as slippers and they seem to help as well.
The golf ball (alongside the other things) seems to help me but it does depend on whether I remember to find one before I sit down - the cat enjoys hiding them...

Never owned a pair, are they shaped inside like supportive insoles?
( Birkenstocks are) I also found that Edison insoles offer the best support, I have them in all my footwear,
and actually they aren't that expensive, which is always a bonus :)

Yup, they give decent support.

I'll have a look for Edison insoles. I'll need a few pairs - easier than keeping shifting them from shoe to shoe!

Which ones do you use and where do you get them from? I've seen several options but most links seem to be to either Amazon (who seem to have stopped selling them) or e-bay sellers who are too cheap.

Ta for that. I'll get Mrs Nod onto the case - she's allowed to do e-bay (it would cost me a fortune in GAS!!!)

Camden Market. Haven't been there for maybe 5 years and used to love it, both as a photography destination and somewhere to just mooch round loads of little craft shops, bookshops and junk shops.

Anyway , fast forward to now and I promised the other half and her daughter a trip there. Got there only to find half the horse market area simply gone now and turned into a building site, but the other half now taken over by the sort of cheap plastic tat sellers you get hawking their tourist crap along Oxford Street.

It's totally lost its soul. I didn't even see one goth on the high street. So it looks like they've even abandoned the place. I don't think I'll ever go back now. Gutted tbh.
