What birds or bird have you seen today – communal thread, I hope!

Took me first shot of a Long-eared Owl this year tonight, but it was almost dark!

1/20th f6,3, ISO16000, manual focus, using the wall as a tripod, :D
Its a massive crop, why am I so pleased? Because its at a site where they haven't bred since 2015

Fingers crossed!

No pictures today, unfortunately, but...

We had LTT's and a couple of Parakeets on the feeders today. And in a quick 2 hour trip to WWT London, we had Snipe, Jack Snipe, Redshank and a couple of Sand Martins....

All in all, a great day of birding (and we picked up the covers for the Swarovski scope too).

Sorry for not keeping up with comments, a bit hectic here at the moment with one thing and another, I will catch up soon fingers crossed :)

A distant shot in less than good photography conditions of a Barn Owl from our morning walk, It was a pleasure to see what I believe is a female even in the drizzle, she was using the fence around a solar farm to spy out her breakfast :)

I wish they'd stick to their own brand..Lol. It took me a while to discover that these two are a mix of Swan Goose and Greylag. Taken at Marazion Marsh near St.Ives.

I'd be pleased just seeing the bird, I was too busy ducking to take a shot of the last one I saw in the wild it flew straight at us as we walked in a wood, hope they do nest this year would be great to see some youngsters shots :)

Nice set @mikew you have a good mix of birds where you are

Thanks, the mix isn't as good as it used to be there are areas that i can no longer manage to walk round as they are too long or too rough, it means i lose lots of the smaller birds.

Had a good day out local birding yesterday, main ones for me were, Wheatears, Female Merlin, Barn Owl, first Swallow of the year and Peregrine plus plenty of the usual, but not many shots
