Very nice Adam great detail as Mulch said. Looks as though he will have to hunt again, won't take him long to eat that catch:sneaky:. How far were you from the eagle Adam.

A great sight and lovely photos, I assume this was on a boat trip?

Was amazing to watch them come down and take the fish

Yes Roger it was on Mull Charters, can highly recommend as did Skye one a few years ago and was not a patch on this, Michael and his son who run it at real nature lovers and give so much info about the area and wildlife

Thanks Adam, I too did one on Skye a couple of years back and it was a complete disaster!

What fabulous photos! I'm extremely envious!

The trips go out of Tobermory, do they?
No they go from Ulva Ferry quay, but we drove the north of the island afterwards and onto Tobermory for dinner before getting the Tobermory to Kilchoan ferry back to the main land

A great set I've been on the lady Jane from there with Martin had a great time
Thank you and Martin and his son Alex were amazing hosts, their local wildlife knowledge and passion is excellent

One of the best images of WTSE from Isle of Mull I've seen so far.
Thank you so much Robin, I was really hoping for a brighter day but so happy with what I managed to get

Amazing captures, the first one is just fantastic with epic contrast, that BG is surreal.
Thank you, the mountains really help the background shots when you can get it aligned most are just sky and due to being overcast most are just blown out white sky I have where there is no mountain or water

A fantastic set and thanks for posting Adam one day I hope ?
Thanks Kevin its really one for your bucket list, I cannot recommend Mull Charters enough he now has 10 years experience and he motors out to the middle of the loch and cuts the engines so never goes anywhere near nest sites etc the eagles all come to him even the new pair that took up residence this winter came down from the mountain side and was quite a site once you realised they were flying towards the boat around 10 feet above the surface

Ahh that's awesome. I live in Fife and there's a breeding programme going on here (location undisclosed) to reintroduce these in the wild. I haven't seen one yet - but i'd love to.

Great photos, mate!

Just curious what equipment did you use
Nikon D500 and 200-500 5.6 it surpassed my expectations and wish I had purchased one when they were released

Thank you and you would not have to travel far from fife to see one or two ;)

Stunning shots.

I had just been reading up on this non ringed Male, very lucky indeed to get shots of him.

A bit late to the party here, but I had to pop in to say these are an excellent set, with te first flight shot taking the cheery. Really good work

Mike
