Thanks Stuart for the flickr comment it is not always easy to tell if my photography is improving without a few comments like yours. I still love some of my old photos but always strive to improve.

Two excellent images, I never seem to see any Whinchats, just plenty of Stonechat!
 
2 excellent shots, first is spot on, the second, if its a crop, it might be worth taking some off the right, about half the mossy area, and adding the same amount on the left, as well as a little below. It may form a nice little curved frame on the right and take him off centre

Thanks Mike but it is pretty much full frame with only about half inch off the right hand side taken off.
