Yeah yeah I know :coat:

Spent 7 hours on and off, between Friday evening and Saturday looking for this Tawny before finding it sat above the nest Sunday morning, my first really good look and photos of a wild Tawny

Shot at Flamboro' in low light and sea mist, just a quick laptop edit, will take another look later on the monitor

Below, down in the hollow trunk they have two chicks that can't be far off branching, been a long time coming but a lovely bird to see :)

@gramps same place as last year Roger (y)

The pp'ing looked bl**dy awful! I'm using a 'new to me' laptop and won't be using it for anymore editing anytime soon:D, it just goes to show how different images can look on different screens

Re-edit and exif for those interested

The black swan and the mandarin drake are very good, IMO,
Malcolm but may I suggest this for the common pochard…

Hi Daniel, I’m on the iPad at the moment and it’s difficult for me to ascertain the tweaks you have made, is it just an increase in brightness?
I would appreciate your explanation of the changes.

Subtle tonal taming with the effect of lower key on the stones
and higher the low keys on the birds.

Black Headed Gulls in flight…

Crow Fishing from today on a weir on the River Calder at Whalley.

I thought the Crow fishing I saw a few days ago might have been a one off, but it seems there are several that have mastered the art of fishing. They don't stay in one spot like the gulls, but tend to hop around the little pools that form. The problem is when they do catch a fish it happens so quickly and the birds tend to be a blur..

I see you had a good time Michalene! :p

I think you could brighten up your swan and chick a tad
though the coot is ok!
