No
just got my RB67 delivered, all works APART from the right focusing knob snapping off in delivery...yay. Might be hard to tell in the photos but its snapped off halfway through the screw that attaches it to the camera. Is that repairable? i was thinking of getting some pliers and trying to unscrew whats left of the knob in the camera and getting a spare knob but i havent seen any about

Looks like one of the screws securing the plate is rusted. Has the camera been sitting in a shed for a few years? Might be better sorting a return to the seller if that's feasible?

oh really? everything works fine, i didnt really think about a return tbh. I dont see why i couldnt return it, i bought it with the knob on and there was no mention of any rust. I have put a roll of black and white through it today, developed it but not scanned, it looks ok

Yeah, get that sent back, you can do better for less!

think i should speak to the seller first or just intiate a return? ive already messaged them about the knob and rust but i dont expect to hear anything back at this hour

It's totally your call on the return, but you have good grounds for a refund with the damage.

As above, I got a very minty RB67 recently with Pro-SD back and 50mm lens for quite a bit less than £400.

Did it come with any lenses or accessories?

i would always speak to the seller 1st, its just the polite thing to do to give them a chance to make good.

Indeed...the seller might offer a good partial refund if you don't mind using the LH knob for focusing? But looking at the pictures it looks like a bad bit of brass to break like that. Well I can't see how you can repair it without a new focusing rod, so if it was me would want a total refund.

Well they got back, offered a refund so it’s all good. I want to send it back insured, doubt I’ll be using DPD! Can anyone recccend a courier?

I think I would have accepted a partial refund but as there was rust on the inside I thought I better get a refund, don’t know how rust would have got in there, only a little but still

None of the cheap couriers cover anything which has glass in it even if the glass isn't the damaged bit. Check the small print who ever you use.

That was including everything and it arrived in the UK in 2 days. Parcel force took another two weeks to deliver it mind....
Nice, think I’ll do that. I’ve seen them for £300 including delivery in good condition

Are the Japanese ones reputable? Been a bit cautious about getting second hand from abroad, be a pain to return it!

Yeah, loads of us have bought from Japan. Obviously check the individual seller.
Sweet, I’ll have a look when the refund comes in. I’ve seen “nearly mint” ones for £300 with delivery so not bad

I agree, bought lots from ffordes over the years and they are very good with excellent customer service.
yea ive bought some stuff from them too, its just not the lens i want plus i like the waist level viewfinder. Suppose they could be sold

I'm sure I've got a spare RB WLF I could stick in the classifieds if you decide you need one.

The Ffordes option is maybe still a little expensive, but it is backed up with some warranty at least and probably a better guarantee of being in good condition. Don't discount the 127mm lens though, it's a nice focal length on the RB67 - depends what you plan to shoot though :)

tbf, were the knob still attached, nobody would see that dot of rust or know it was there.

I ate it when I get rust behind my knob

Yea it’s true, I would be mainly use it for landscapes so the 90mm would be better. Maybe they would swap out bits and pieces

Well I would have excused rust on the outside, as you said would be hard to spot. However when I stripped the camera and looked inside one of the latches was also rusted, getting rust on the inside of a ‘well looked after’ Camera seemed odd to me
