I was gearing up for the Perseid peak and the 10th August was a perfect night, clear and warm so I set up a trial taking successive 30 sec exposures at f2.8 ISO 2500. Site was only my garden but it is in the countryside and fairly dark.
I got a few meteor trails and one which I suspect is a satellite. There were also plenty of aircraft trails, easily identified from the strobe pattern of dots and the regular flight path.
Polaris is 1/3 way across from left.
Unfortunately on the peak meteor shower nights clouds obscured the sky here and photography was not practical
This is a composite of the best trails stacked as layers in Photoshop and masked to show a single background image.
