This is a rant really. My eyesight is deteriorating slowly; I still don't need glasses for daytime and can read stuff in good light, but I do need glasses for reading in the evening and for night driving. Just recently however, I've noticed difficulty focusing my Pentax ME SLR. It's got a 35-70 2.8-3.5 lens on it, and the viewfinder is reasonably bright, but I've been racking back and forth trying to decide where the sharpest point of focus is, and eventually having to just press the shutter anyway. I think I'm noticing this as I've spent the past few weeks shooting with the Pentax LX (normally loaded with colour film), and that has a dioptre adjustment on the VF, but the MX doesn't.
I'm thinking this maybe means another LX, or going for an AF SLR (shudder), or perhaps another go at a rangefinder. Or throw my hands up and go digeridoo... Help, save me from myself...
