Yes, female wheatear. The male is more boldly marked with a black 'robber mask' and grey over the head and down the back. Delightful birds and very common on Dartmoor in summer. They'll come quite close to you too. I've had them well within range of my 135mm lens while I've just been quietly sitting on a rock.

I think it’s a female Wheatear - the male should have more contrasting plumage.

Thanks both. I'm not a twitcher, so was relying on looking it up on the RSPB site and of course your knowledge :D

A series of shots. This morning I heard a gull making a great deal of noise. It usually means a heron's about and so it was. Taken from a back bedroom window. It had it's eye on our pond but we took the fish out 18 months ago. It looks like a youngster to me.

The gull then came from behind it.

It decides it's time to check out the pond

Sorry chaps, haven't got a clue what bird this is. I was out strolling with the camera, and there it was sat in a tree. Not the best quality images.
Is it a domestic escapee? Possible diamond dove?

Looks like a Turtle Dove from the eye and wing markings, possibly a juvenile as I can't see the neck markings
