I always love to see a Fox, but so often just the click of the shutter sends them scurrying.
For the last week or so I have been using Qc Mode, (Quiet Continuous), on the D850 and it does make a difference in the shutter noise.
Although this vixen did still hear the shutter, she was not spooked by it and sat for a moment looking at me ... lovely to see her like this. :)

Thank you, delightful animal :)

Great image, looks very young and lacks colour, but perhaps that is the feeding she has available?
How do you know it's a vixen?

I think it is a young one, there were five cubs that I saw being nursed in the area around a year ago and though I have no idea if this is one of them, I wouldn't be surprised.
I took a series of about a dozen photos with her on the move and at different angles and there was no obvious indications of it being a dog fox. :)

Looks like he posed for this shot Roger- very nice :)

Les :)
