It's this weekend (Fri To Sunday - 19th-21st Oct 2018), anyone going???? I'm going just to see the LMS 6233 Duchess of Sutherland...

The GWR 4270, GWR 2857 and 34092 City of Wells are all engine first from Bury.

The LMS 6233 Duchess of Sutherland is tender first from Bury (but engine first from Rawtenstall).

L & YA Class 52322 and Gothenburg 32 only seem to be running from Bury to Ramsbottom and back and I didn't get there today.

It was also very busy at Irwell Vale, Townsend Fold and Rawtenstall today especially as it was a weekday.
 
Was thinking of going somewhere near the river in Townsend Fold. Duchess is coming back from Rawtenstall at 11.30 and will be engine first. Assumption is that she will be pulling rather than pushing!
Wasn't thinking of buying a ticket to travel up and down.

Me neither, I was just driving up and down from Rawtenstall to Irwell and back...

It might be that, because it's banked with the City of Wells at 11:30, that the Duchess might be on the back of the carriages with Wells at the front so they wouldn't need to uncouple and move to the front at Rawtenstall.

I've looked at the timetable and had sort of come to that conclusion myself.
 
Thanks. I've got a physio appointment at 9.30 so I'm not 100% sure what time I can get there. Better not to make definite plans in case I get delayed.
