To take great mountain photographs you've got to know where to be, when, and how to take them.

Photographing The Snowdonia Mountains answers those questions. It's a hill walking guidebook, a photo-location guidebook, a safety in the hills manual, part biography, and is illustrated with over 300 stunning photographs. Fifteen of the best mountain walks for photography are described, including shorter walks and roadside locations for the best mountain images if you don't want to walk far. The author Nick Livesey lives for mountain photography and he shares his secrets from Snowdonia to the Glyders, from the Nantlle Ridge to Rhinog Fawr and the Celtic Badlands. One in a series of fotoVUE Mountain books.

Thank you Nigel, Jerry and Greg.

All the best,

Mick

Will you be producing a "Photographing Fenland" one page pamphlet

Did I see a mention of an East Anglia guide or was that some one else? Thank you Mick
Bought the Peak District book and really enjoyed it, something nearer home would be very handy.

Hi TT,

Yes, Photographing East Anglia next by Justin Minns. Just doing the maps actually. This book is freakin amazing. I'm that inspired I'm going to divorce the wife and go on a roadtrip to the area.

All the best,

Mick

A road trip round East Anglia. Living the dream! (Or an edgy C4 documentary)

Now published, shipping all orders out on Thursday.
Great news! - thanks for the update. Looking forward to my copy.

All Photographing The Snowdonia books despatched.

All the best,

Mick

Funny thing happened to me today. After finishing shooting the early morning sun hitting the Snowdon Horseshoe, I decided it was time for a coffee and a bacon butty. I made my way to Moel Siabod Cafe in Capel Curig, ordered and then sat down with my copy of Photographing The Snowdonia Mountains, that I had used to find the aforementioned location.
The chap from the cafe came with my coffee and asked if I liked the book I was reading. "Yes", I said, "it's very good". "That's OK then", says the chap "because I wrote it!"
Well, you could have knocked me down with a feather. It was only bloomin' @Nick Livesey himself! Who knew? Not me, obviously :)
Any road up, I chatted with Nick and showed him a couple of my snaps and then had a look around the photo gallery in the cafe. Well worth a look if your passing.
It was great to meet Nick and he immediately falls into the Good Guys category of people.

Hi Nigel, it was great to meet you today. I am notoriously grumpy at the best of times when at the cafe but the last two weeks have been especially difficult as I am having a spot of bother with anxiety issues. Seeing you sitting there with the book gave me a little boost and was a timely reminder that I'm doing alright in many aspects of my life and have a lot to be thankful for. I'm so glad the book is proving useful and inspiring. Do come and say hello again when next you visit Eryri :)
