Well this morning was forecast to be frosty and with low wind speeds I went for some reflections there was more cloud than I expected and it helped a lot. Though at one point I was fearing it would cloud in and I was going to lose the sun.

Here is what I took.

As the sun came up the clouds were lit up nicely

Before the sun came up I took these

Then I went for a wander to the other side

What do you think?

Great shots. Lovely colours. 1 & 4 are my faves.

Well Done.

Lovely shots agreed, 3 does it for me. The tree reflection really finishes it off well. I find the image really well balanced. Perhaps I would have crppped it in a bit more to take some off the right hand edge :)

There is a lot to like here - 1 being the one I cannot fault at all. If you look closely at two you can see the reflection of the small tree isn't as clear as in one and in 3 there is some unfortunate choppiness in the distance. With four I see you've gone for a longer exposure to try smooth it out - good move but it's all in the timing to fire the shutter off when everything is totally still to capture that special moment when everything is paused and still - the first is that key moment.

Great images Alf.
I like them all but if pushed I’d have to choose #3 as my favourite as, for me, the colours and cloud reflections give it emotional impact.

"Superb" set of images, all very pleasing with #1 being "Excellent" in my book closely followed by #4.(y)

I consider more off the right but left it like this to put the tree on the third widthways

Yes, that's very good.

Thanks

Nice work Alf, first and last for me - it's the clouds that make them :)

Thanks Si

Bloody lovely if you ask me Alf.

Thanks Mick

The last is not a long exposure but the Hi res mode on the camera uses multiple exposures and can give that impression not laways good though.

The first and last are really nice with probably the last one edging it for me.

Thanks

Nice work. I take it from your avatar you're a Scouter?

All nice but compositionally really like the last two especially the last one - those opposing bits of grass balance nicely and the lone tree one uses the negative space well.

Thanks stuart

I was for many years - Ventures, and then Explorers in both Kent and the North until my unit folded.

Cracking set with some lovely colour. The last is my pick of the bunch but I like all of them.

Thanks Jason

Our group is doing OK at the moment and I am doing some stuff with Explorers in the new year
